Honda Motor Co. (HMC) Friday announced a voluntary worldwide recall of 646,000 compact cars so that it can examine window switches that can overheat if exposed to liquid, causing smoke or melting or even catch fire.
Only about 10% of the Fit hatchbacks recalled will need replacement switches, with the remainder requiring the fitment of waterproof skirts to prevent water seeping in.
"Under some severe operating conditions, water, rain, or other liquid may enter the driver's window and reach the master power window switch, resulting in impaired function of the switch," the Japanese car maker said in a statement. "If the master power window switch is damaged as a result of the liquid intrusion, it may result in failure of the switch and overheating.
"An overheating switch may cause smoke, melting or, potentially, fire," it added.
The recall affects models built in Japan, China, Brazil, Thailand, Malaysia and India. Of the vehicles being recalled, 171,372 are in the U.K., where the model is known as the Jazz, 141,140 are in the U.S. and 229,000 are in Latin America.
Honda's recall comes as Toyota Motor Corp. (TM) this week halted sales of its most popular models in North America in response to growing concerns that possible defects to accelerator pedals may cause vehicles to speed up unintentionally. Toyota Wednesday expanded its recall to Europe and on Thursday to China.

I had Nighthawk done my HID with a Retrofit Projector last week. He did a great job. Looks OEM. I am very happy with it. =)

    Parts used:
    - a clear lensed FXR bixenon projectors with color modification
    - philips 85122+ d2s 4300k color bulbs
    - apollo shrouds

The light is bright and yellowish in color. The output is wide - good for 3 to 4 lanes - with a sharp blue outline. No glare at all to incoming traffic. Yay!

Before that, I was using a 6000k hid that was just installed directly into my lamp. While it was bright white, the light output was going everywhere and not directed. I hated that the bright white light does not mix well with the usual yellowish light of the other cars - it was distracting both to me and the other drivers. I had to angle the light low to avoid glare to incoming drivers causing the throw of the light to be so short that I couldn't dive safely on the highway. During the rainy months, the white light was reflecting off the rain drops that I can't see the road much. I was actually contemplating to change back to the oem Jazz lamp until I saw nighthawk's post a few pages back on a retrofit projector. I am now a happy camper.

I believe the foam acts like a fender in between the plate and the car surface and should be there lest you get scratches during vibration or when closing the trunk where the impact is most felt.

    just my observation though...

*DeltaBravo - so where do i need to put the double sided adhesive tape at the surface of the foam?

*josep - ayun nga din yung naisip ko specially when closing the trunk lalo na kung mga security guard pa from parking space ang nagsara. lol.

    Guys,

New here sa thread and medyo naguguluhan ako sa pagbili ng Jazz.
    White or Polished Metal?

Malakas ba dating polished metal?

White kasi dumihin (and the fact na taxis are colored white) though it fits the Jazz very well. I would've picked taffeta white if only hindi color white yung L300 FB namin. On the other hand, IMO Polished metal medyo guy-look, combining formal na rugged. And the fact na hindi dumihin, hindi rin kitain scratches unlike sa black.

    Polished Metal if you:

Don't like to wash your car every week and wax every month (ma-mantsahin yung white) and kung sobra kang naiinis sa napakahalatang brown/red splotches ng tree sap or bird poop when you park sa open parking.

Was choosing between carbon bronze and white for my FD. Went for the carbon bronze for the above reasons.

    My 2c.

Kung mahilig ka mag modify,, go for White. Kung simpleng modification lang at gusto mo VIP look go fo the Polished Metal. For me I choose Blue kasi it's my lucky color and sporty and jdm look and again malaking tignan.

Last friday I did inalis ko at diniin pabalik yung rear seats especially dun sa tall mode feature nya. So far wala nako narinig ulit. Try mo bro. Akala ko nga seat belts yung makalampag eh. Pero obserbahan ko pa din.

Sirs thanks for the input nyo. i'll go for TW na lang. one more thing n lng pla, im planning to buy 1.5 a/t and i checked ung FC nya sa isang site is 10km/l and foir 1.3 is 16km/l. so medyo confusing lang kasi ganun b tlga difference nila in terms of FC?

Civic FD 8-9KM/L city/heavy traffic driving.

Considerably higher numbers kapag highway cruising.
