    FC ng 1998 honda city lxi automatic ko 14kms/liter kapag long drive (cauayan city, isabela to manila*380kms) vice versa. city drive 9-10kms/liter using petron extra unleaded. normal lang kaya yung ganon FC sa car ko? what if i shift to petron xcs or other leaded gas. oks lang kaya sa engine nya & magbabago kaya ang FC nya?

    I have Honda Civic 99 VTI A/T ang lakas sa gas city driving (traffic driving hehehe) around 4-5 KM/L, long drive 10-11 KM/L. regular naman ako mag pa change oil. I don't think naman na malaki yung epekto ng pag change ko from shell to petron pero matagal na after mag ka roon ng fuel save ang shell

    continuously variable transmission (CVT), AFAIK, it was used for 2006 - 2008 Honda City and Jazz models, this transmission design provide better fuel economy but the transmission itself is very expensive to repair. Honda Cars is no longer using it to their latest City and Jazz models...

    its nearest rival, vios can run for as low as 16km/l for its 1.5l engine on city driving as tested by satisfied owners. 1.3l may reach as low as 20km/l;

    the city may never duplicate these figures but is far superior from other features (again never mind the looks)..
    ----I could do 10km/L for city driving route ko paranaque-pasig-paranaque. 20 km/l highway drving... A full tank could last me about 7-9 days for my daily drive.

    A 2-week old, 2012 Honda City owner here, 1.3S A/T, yes indeed that it can do 21 km per liter of petrol in NLEX * 80 - 90 kph constant speed. Not yet observed thoroughly in the busy road of C-5 or Edsa. 12 km/liter is achievable in san fernando pampanga street/roads with mild traffic condition..

    I drive a 2006 Honda Civic 1.8S, FC is 6-7km/L city driving, highway's the same too. Ang lakas sa gas, 2 full tanks ako every week, I use Petron XCS. Regular naman tune up at change oil ko, at wala naman problema pero ewan bakit ang lakas uminom ng gas, I love Honda pa naman, sporty type...

    I'm getting a hint since you appreciate it for being a "sporty type" that you drive exactly like that - sporty. If you do drive "sporty" you consume more gas regardless of the car you drive.

    I'm driving the same car as you and I'm getting 8-10 city driving and 10 - 15 highway driving. Driving style is tipid-mode (rarely going beyond 2k RPM).

    I got 16km/L sa highway, but that was a looooong & boring drive. So on the way home, eco driving no more... :lol:
