Sinama na yung sparks cleaning sa oil change and i think it was not a bad add-on service, right?

    Mga di naitanong sa kasa:

    1. may bayad din ba wheel/tire rotation? will DIY void warranty?
    2. will self-servicing/DIY spark plugs cleaning void warranty?
    3. how much torque for the wheel lug nuts?

Yes. Almost certain to be offered is a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder similar to the one that debuted in Honda’s redesigned 2016 Civic. At 174 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, it would trail the naturally aspirated 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that’s the fourth-generation CR-V’s sole engine. The 2.4-liter has 185 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, but most drivers would probably be happier with the way the turbo 1.5 produces power at lower engine speeds, which makes for quicker, strong throttle response around town and on the highway. Honda could well offer the ’17 CR-V with two engine choices: a naturally aspirated version in the lower-priced trim levels and the turbo 1.5 in upper grades. It does just that in the Civic, with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder rated at 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. Expect a continuously variable transmission to continue in place of a conventional automatic. And a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (awd) for all trim grades will repeat.
Turbo is activated when you step on the gas pedal-to-the-metal or 4k rpm range.

I understand that you're enthusiastic about having a turbo in your CRV. We all want that.

However, I'm certain that your CRV still uses the 2.0L R20 engine. This is what an R20 looks like, and it's identical to the pictures you posted:

The turbo engine you're referring to is Honda's 1.5 Earth Dreams. This is what it looks like:

The "Earth Dreams" logo is prominently displayed, and the turbo is visible. In the pictures you posted, there's not a hint of a turbo.

The R20 engine really feels livelier after 4000 rpm because that's how most Honda engines are - tepid at low revs and peppy at high revs.

We're also in the market for a new Honda and I would've known if there was a turbo CRV because we've been talking to the GMs of Honda dealerships directly. I can say with 100% certainty that Honda PH is not selling CRVs with turbos.

Is this your first Honda? Hondas usually have a very different profile at high revs. The Jekyll and Hyde nature is a defining characteristic of most VTEC engines. Coupled with the downshift, you'll really feel much more power.

If you were driving a turbo though, you'd feel a surge of power at much lower revs (2500-3000 rpm), though the power plateaus at around 5500 rpm. On the other hand, the naturally aspirated CRV revs happily all the way to its 6800 rpm redline.

    VTEC pala at hindi turbo.

Maybe in your next purchase, you will get the much newer CRV with the 1.5L turbo engine.

Only the Civic RS comes with the 1.5L "Earth Dreams" turbo engine within the local market.

The City, Jazz, and Mobilio comes with the old 1.5L NA engine used on the previous model City and Jazz.

I see sir. Thanks for the clarification.
I got mixed up with the "Earth Dreams" label.

    Quoting from honda philippines site:
"Under the hood of the New City retains its 1.5 Liter i-VTEC engine mated to either a Manual Transmission or Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) developed under Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology for optimal power engine and fuel efficiency."

^^^ Honda's "Earth Dreams" technology is about clean and green methods, making their engines more fuel efficient with less emissions without compromising output. Even the Accord's old K24 engine was redesigned to incorporate Earth Dreams technology.

However, all such engines with the exception on the Civic RS turbo are still naturally aspirated (NA). The iVTEC technology built into them makes them more lively at certain rpm stages when the iVTEC engages.

I don't think it was a troll post. Just misinformed. Which is why we try to reply in a supportive and informative manner. 😊
