Any thoughts on Civic 1.8 S or E as a family car? Torn between this and the Rush, will also be driven by my wife whose height is only 5'.![]()
Yes sir, lowest trim lang talaga yung target either S or E. We currently own 2013 Vios and 2016 Swift, gusto na namin i dispatch yung Vios and upgrade. I prefer the Civic because of the comfort, ang hirap lang iconvince ni esmi kasi low ground clearance daw and petite pa siya.![]()
Sa Honda Makati ko po nakuha unit ko. Yun kasi malapit sa bahay. Almost 2 weeks ako nag antay since by order siya. Mga mid June ako nagdecide sa unit na platinum white pearl.
Siguro by order din hanap mo kasi dami parin kasi akong nakitang stock sa dealership ng 2018 RS Turbo both sa Makati at Kalookan e.
Sir Jut - ok na po pala yung sa shift knob. Nahanap ko na yung part number. Salamat po.

In addition to what sir jut said, the 2016 1.8e supports the android and iphone carplay by default, but based on the specs on the 2019 1.8s which i checked in the comparison today, it doesnt support now. Better to check na rin sa dealership.

Driver height not much of an issue. Wide range of seat and steering wheel adjustment. Ground clearance is not an issue either. Mas sayarin pa nga pag po pa-syete nyo approach ang ramps and humps. Approach with reasonable speed, of course, as the dampers are tuned for more comfortable (aka soft) damping but react well enough in high speed maneuvers to limit body roll.
Wala na po kayong problema sana by now.. Anyway, hindi lang po sa honda maraming nabibiktima ang wiring harnesses ng rodents, pati sa ibang makers since the law of using soy-based wiring insulators have to be used (damn environmentalists!). I had wiring insulator damage after not using the civic for more than a week, luckily nothing was severed but some spots were chafed. Did the re-wrapping myself with electrical tape and additional insulator they use on residential wirings (cloth like, maybe asbestos-based) .
Also experienced the christmas tree warning lights incident but was solved by changing the original battery. Installed a bigger battery with some minor fitting adjustment.
.. That was an interesting week for me![]()
may naka kuha na ba ng civiv 1.8e 2019 dito ang tagal e 1month na kami nag hihintay
I assume your family doesn't need 7 seats since you're considering the Civic as an option. Aside from the Rush's 7-seater capacity and higher ride height, it doesn't really offer any significant advantage over the Civic. The Civic has better fit and finish, a more powerful engine, a more comfortable ride, and impeccable handling. Not sure about fuel economy, but seems like the Rush's body is too heavy for its 1.5L engine, which could mean negligible difference between the two (don't take my word for it, though!). As for reliability, Honda is at par with Toyota, and maintenance for the former is only every 6 months, which means less time spent for visits to the casa.
Your wife should be able to drive it just fine -- my mom is the same height as her, and she doesn't have any troubles driving my Civic.
If you could spring for the E variant, I say go for it. The additional features over the S will be worth it in the long run.
Anyone else who's had their fender light bulb replaced already? Just discovered that the light on the driver's side is already busted. Civic's 11 months old pa lang... Is it advisable to wait for my PMS and have this done at the casa since the next maintenance is just less than a month away or is DIY better?
i don't honda, so i do not know if this bulb is a special bulb or just any old bulb... whether it is DIY-able or not.
my guess is, it is.
if DIY-able, it is cheaper to diy it, than to let casa do it. casa bulbs anywhere are very expensive.
peruse your owner's manual po, if it is DIY-able.
good luck.
