grabe, just talked to my friend sa honda... january 07, 2009 na release ng honda city.. may 600 units na sa planta... huwaw! grabe laking trunk space .. bigger than civic, vios, altis... whew!

Sabi rin ng SA namin January 7, 2009 . available in 3 variants . 1.3A 1.3S and 1.5E? (not sure sa letter) colors available ay same sa civic and accord . tapos may special color for the 1.5 variant . hindi siya auto climate control . maganda talaga siya . (i saw the confidential brochure) yung top of the line model ata ay magkalapit na ang presyo sa base model civic . pero sulit . may paddle shifters daw . hehe .

I wonder if the new City 1.5 is going to be an A/T-only model like the new Jazz 1.5 sold here...

huwat!? aabot sa base model ng civic? hindi na competitive price nun.. kala ko pa naman magiging mura like around the same price ng vios na top model and lower just like around P5xx,xxx

nako bigger siya kesa sa civic at altis? that's cool pero pagnagkataon at mabigat yung unit eh magiging underpowered yang 1.3 nila

The top Vios 1.5 with leather trim is priced just a bit lower than the base Civic.
Vios 1.5G A/T (w/ Leather): P811K
Civic 1.8V M/T: P830K
Jazz 1.5V A/T: P797K

The main advantage of the top spec sub-compacts (like the Vios, Yaris, Jazz etc) over the base Civic? safety features. The P830K Civic has ABS but no airbags.

PS: In China the top of the line City has a 140PS 1.8 i-VTEC! Wow!

i never thought that the top of the line vios was already at the line of 8, i thought it was only at 7

Whoa!!! The designers at Honda did their homework very well. It's no longer cockroach-looking like the current model. Does this new model have ULT seats? Then it's almost perfect.

I wouldn't really call the old "current" City cockroach-looking, its stuby, tall and has a huge butt. The new one is 100x better looking.

The new City does not have ULT seats.
I'm not sure about the local model, but the higher spec ASEAN City has 60/40 split folding and reclining rear seats.
