August 19th, 2009 10:54 AM #1705mas maganda ang 1.3 s, i average around 18 to 20 km per litter from cavite to makati ervery day, ngayun dito ako sa honda cars pasig at pakabit ng sound system, average ko is 18.2 bago ako pumarada, dapat proper shifting lng and highest gear as much as possible, avoid hard breaking and dont step on the gas parati, pitik pitik lng, 10 days old palang city ko, so nice talaga

Welcome to tsikot.
Please refrain from using text-speak in the forums.
To answer your question, I have a 2009 1.3 a/t City and it does not have any problems going up steep slopes or inclines. Your fuel consumption may vary based on your driving habits and route going to and from work or school but you should be able to get at least 10 km/li if not more in city driving (meaning normal traffic in rush hour). It gets even better FC on highway driving.
Test drive and compare it with the Mazda3 before you decide.

Well, based on my earlier post, its a 1.3 a/t. The last time I went up a steep slope, there were 4 passengers including the driver. Again, no problems, even with the aircon on. Regarding a 12-hour marathon drive, I haven't done it with my car, although I don't see why it can't do that. I mean, the 1st and 2nd gen. cities (i used to own a 2nd gen city) were subjected by Honda to endurance driving tests that took it from one end of the Philippines to another and they passed with flying colors. So, I don't expect any hitches if you take a leisurely drive from Manila to Tuguegarao.
