Sad to say, yung mga ka-convoy kong katrabaho, nakabara din sa left lane at napakabagal ng takbo. Kaya iniwan ko na, nakakahiya, eh.
By doing that, how much time did you get ahead from anybody. I've always drive on the right lane, specially when the road is empty, but theirs always this one driver that have to be fast and be damn about everyone else. Most of the time they are the one that is getting pulled over, accident and most of the times I will eventually catch with them when they are stop on an intersection waiting for the traffic light to turn green. But make no mistake, a lot of driver need to browse back to their driver's manual that left lane is for passing only and not for cruising and fast driving.

i think otep is trying to pass that's why he's at the passing lane.

By iniwan, I did not imply that I just zoomed ahead and left them them. What I mean to say is i broke off the convoy and cruised in the 2nd or 3rd lane na lang. Though I was running at traffic's pace at the time I was not in the fast lane - the other vehicles were not (estimate around 80-90kph on the passing lane kaya medyo dyahe talaga sa ibang motorista).

Of course, when it came time to pass slower vehicles in my lane I used the passing lane kaya pinapaalis ko yung mga engot na nakabara at natutulog dun. Then I'd pull back into my lane. Hindi ba dapat ganun naman?

Such drivers are far outnumbered by people who have no idea that doing 50 kph on the highway passing lane is an inconvenience to other road users.

just out of curiosity sir otep, common ba dyan ang driving with full-time high beam? medyo delikado yan ah, nakakabulag sa ibang driver. dito, we hardly (if ever) use the high beam sa freeway for said reason, sa isolated highways lang, then flick it to low beam pag may kasalubong. kaya siguro dumbfounded look yung iba, kasi temporary blinded sila sa high beam mo.

kulang talaga sa education mga drivers dito sa pinas. you cannot blame them sometimes for being ignorant with things such as passing lane, not knowing that when someone flashes at you it means they wanna pass. they think that you're being rude on the highway. ang layo talaga ng difference here and in the US. doon malayo pa distance ko sa kotse sa harap ko, one flash lang and they will immediately give way to you. dito pundi na bumbilya mo di pa rin tumatabi.

Kapag passing, I switch to high beam [except during nightime, dusk, and dawn] as I'm pulling into the passing lane. Bale kasabay ng pag-sindi ng left turn signal lamp (which remains on for the duration of the maneuver). I switch to low beam if the vehicle recognizes my intention to pass (either by flashing his right turn signal or by clearing the passing lane). If vehicle does not yield, I flash my H3's.

Low beams when cruising (irregardless of time/weather condition]. Flashing high beams when intending to pass [during nightime, dusk, and dawn]. Does that clear things up?

Btw, tanghaling-tapat ako pumunta ng Pulilan. Dumating ako dun in time for late lunch.

had this incident before at SLEX, pauwi ako galing Laguna, there was a heavy downpour, roads are slippery and visibility is poor, aba may isang chedeng ang tulin magpatakbo, obviously he didn't realize that he was displacing lots of water on my windshield, parang akong nabulag ako nun, lost all visibility... so I slowed down a bit. Haay just another day of driving in the Philippines.

kaya ang tendency ng mga ibang drivers is to snake their way para makalipat sa passing lane
