Year 1997, I decided to take a rest at dau toolbooth of NCLEX going back to Manila after driving continuously from Manila to Pangasinan and back.

I took refuge next to a delivery truck the one with a trailer because it seems much safer.

I was in dreamland already when I heard people shouting for us to come out of my car with our hands up, when I look around me there are policemen with their M16s and firearms pointed towards us in all direction.

They searched the car and found nothing. Apparently they responded to a report that we are suspected to be hijacker. I suspect it was the delivery truck who reported it.

After that scary moment, when we are cleared, I just sped away and get the hell out of that place.

Scenarios flashing inside my mind while traversing NLEX include:
1. What if one if those policemen is a trigger happy SOB?
2. What if they planted something and accused us of a crime?
3. What if they make it appear as a shoot out?

Buti na lang 1997 yun, paano kaya kung ngayon yun? With all of those issues involving policemen not following the rules of engagement.

Rainy evening a couple of years ago, south terminal exit. We were on queue for the tollbooth stations... The CRV in front of me suddently swerved to the other lane. The reason was that a car blocked another (car). The driver got out of his car, carrying an umbrella and he was repeatedly kicking on the fender of the other car, while cursing the other driver. It was good that the other driver did not go out of his/her car....
