Emergency is done with a call thus it's emergency. It's a known fact that txt can have delay is sending or sometimes it does not even get through, so that's a risk of failure in txting. Besides, in cases of no response from the individual being communicated to, the norm is authorities (police, barangay tanod/chairman or hospital) will deliver the message by call or physical presence.
This is just another style of the budol-budol whereby they target the maids through call. But since their dealing with the mother, this time they won't use a call cause the mom would recognize child's voice so they use txt.

Grabe naman kayo manghusga kagad. Some folks are a tad old, and I bet pwede sila maniwala sa ganyan. Di naman lahat aware sa ganyan eh. I bet yung lola ko papaloadan yan kapag nagkataon. So its our responsibility to let them know that scams like this actually exist.
