Mayor Lim should just stay at home and start taking viagra again.
Sorry to hear what you experienced with this "eyesores", I also pass by at Quiapo C. Palanca, these ignorant and arrogant hoodlums even counter flowed their way towards Plaza Sta Cruz. If it were not a crime to just bulldoze these pests I would have mowed them all the way back to where they came from.
There are now some motor scooters with white liscense plate operating as kuliglig here in Binondo. Shouldn't those be classified as tricycles?

yung buong quiapo- sta. cruz all the way to divisoria is one big mess. salamat sa mga kotong cops na dilaw na ang bagong uniform... pag kuliglig at jeep kahit one way or no parking or no loading zone pwede.... pag private cars kaway agad....
Hope Mayor Magoo will show a little political will and not backdown from these road pest...

MANILA, Philippines—Pedicab and "kuliglig" (motorized pedicab) drivers in the city of Manila on Thursday expressed their opposition to Mayor Alfredo Lim's executive orders seeking to ban them from the city streets starting December 1.
The Alyansa ng Nagkakaisang Pedicab at Kuliglig Drivers Manila (Alnapedku) held a press conference Thursday noon at Nepomuceno St., Quiapo to ask the city government to reconsider its decision.
We are against Lim's E.O. 16 and 17 which would rob us of our livelihood. Especially for the Christmas season, we ask our right to a decent living be acknowledged, and that our families not be allowed to starve,") said Alnapedku spokesperson Fernando Picorro.
But Manila city hall chief-of-staff Ricardo de Guzman said there was little chance the orders would be revoked.
"We have already given them a chance before to change their business and to have them remove their motors," he said. He added they were even given a grace period to do so. The original implementation date of the executive orders was on September 15, which was extended to December 1.
Lim's E.O. 17 banned all pedicabs and tricycles from Ermita-Malate roads, along Taft Avenue from Lawton to Vito Cruz, Roxas Blvd., and all national roads in the city.
They are, however, allowed to operate on sidestreets and residential areas.
Those who violate the orders will be fined P500 and their vehicles impounded.
The city government has been receiving many complaints against the three-wheeled vehicles, largely blamed for worsening air pollution and traffic the city.

Delikado sila lalo na pag gabi, wala man lang reflectors or any indication na nandoon sila.
For the family my ass.
Typical PUV driver mentality.![]()
Kung ayaw nila ma-ban, iparehistro nila ang motorized vehicle nila sa LTO, which is required by law. Good luck with that.

All they do is cause traffic and various other accidents. The country is better off without them.![]()
Reregulate daw nila and tuturuan sa tamang driving rules and regulations. Hay...ang totoo is for every kuliglig driver is a family of not less than 5 people and that translates to voters. Mayor Lim gising na po. Hope you can make your sunset a colorful one. Bring back order to the City of Manila. Sa Recto Abad Santos area mapakaraming kuliglig breaking all the traffic rules pero nun nag right turn ako from Abad Santos to Recto I was flagged down by a policeman. Nasa gitnan lane daw ako bakit dapat diretso daw ako. Wala daw, next time nalang daw...hehehehe
Kaya nga eh, porket may motor doesn't make it fit for the road.
There's no point to let them ply the streets: unsafe, road hazard (driving methods and lack of reflectors and lights), unlicensed drivers. I pass by the streets of Manila 5 times a week especially the Quiapo area these contraptions break almost all known driving regulations.
They are crying foul for depriving them of their livelihood. Ban them and if they insist on continuing their trade, MTPB should be authorize to confiscate the "cariton" este motorized pedicab.
Walang kwenta yang ban na yan since hindi complete ban. This will just result to a ningas cogon approach.
If they're going to ban them, then ban them completely. No exceptions, no special cases, para walang chance ng takas at mas maliit chance ng ningas cogon since di na gagamit ng utak yung maghuhuli. Basta makakita, huli agad.
