We want to actually see them disappear...

    http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/video/nat...w-vs-kuligligs

Nakiusap sila. Kaya pumayag naman kami up to December 1.

We have to restore law and order

Heard over the radio again, the Mayor says he will enforce the EO. However, iba ang nangyayari.

Its under Mayor Lim's watch that the problem grew out of control. Even he himself admitted it that he turned a blind on them. He only acted on it after recieving a lot of complaints. That show lack of foresight in his part, he should have acted on it when they were few of them. Mayron pa rin dito sa Binondo, I don't see anyone arresting them.

CHR probe on dispersal of 'kuliglig' drivers urged

MANILA, Philippines - Anakpawis party-list Representative Rafael Mariano on Thursday urged the Commission on Human Rights to investigate the dispersal of protesting ‘kuliglig’ pedicab drivers in Manila on Wednesday.

In a statement, Mariano said the Aquino government is slowly showing the same despotism displayed by the previous Arroyo administration.
“Instead of hearing out and responding to the legitimate grievances raised by pedicab drivers wanting to earn a living through decent means, the city government of Manila and the Philippine National Police (PNP) displayed sheer brutality and used excessive force. The authorities’ action against pedicab drivers is totally unacceptable and deserves strong opposition,” Mariano said.

The lawmaker said the violent manner of taking action on legitimate demands of ordinary people shows the kind of governance that the Aquino government will take on for the next 6 years.

He urged the CHR to identify the Philippine National Police's lapses and violations of its own operational procedure and rules of engagement concerning rally dispersals.

"Police elements and units involved in the violent dispersal must be made accountable for violation of human rights,” he said.

At the risk of sounding snobbish...

What can you expect from these "kuliglig" drivers anyway?? I'd be surprised if there's one of them who finished HS...

All it takes is for one of them prats to throw a rock at the bobbies and the result is mayhem and blood...

    *docgorio:

It's not being snobbish when you're telling the truth. Kaya nga mga ganyan gusto nila maging ganyan lang since combination of zero IQ and laziness prompts them to opt for jobs like this instead of, I dunno, something harder in the short term but can carry more potential in the long term.

Kasi makikitid utak, gusto ngayon, ngayon, ngayon. Nagwawala sila na mahirap sila and all that crap, pero kapag tinignan mo yung mga bahay nila, may mga TV, karaoke, at washing machine ang mga yan.

Many left-wing organizations, such as Karapatan and the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) (a group she was formerly aligned with), protested her appointment, stating that she was unfit for the position.

Passed by Manila this morning, from P. Casal to Ayala Bridge, saw a few of them, nag counter flow pa, along Concepcion St. SM Manila the terminal at the corner of San Marcelino (walang kuliglig) up to the Manila City Hall. Went up Jones Bride saw 1 of them on the opposite side. Along Quiapo C. Palanca Street saw less than 15 but still there are some of them very much present.

Mayor Lim should enforce the ban, he should assign MPTB personnel along Quiapo, Sta Cruz, Binondo and Divisoria areas. These are the places where these contraptions are heavily based. Pag nagmatigas, call the MPD 6x6 truck and ram the kuligligs in front of them.
