This week lang, four times akong dumaan ng SLEX. Ganun pa rin mga ugali ng driver. :um:

Beep + flash continuously ang ginagawa ko para tumabi sila. Some do veer away from the overtaking lane, pero mostly hinde. Hinde ko alam bakit, 80kph lang takbo nila pero nasa overtaking lane sila. At 80kph you can barely overtake anything :bwahaha:

Pero eto malupet, there was this one Urvan along slex travelling slowly (~70-80kph) at the middle lane when suddenly he switches to the overtaking lane for no effing reason. Wala naman kotse sa paligid niya. :hammer: Beep ulit + flash ako pero wala pa rin. So inovertakean ko nalang siya. Tsk tsk.

Iyan ang mga bwis3t dito sa SLEX... Kaluwag-luwag ng kalye. Aba e, bigla na lang lilipat sa innermost lane!..

Kaya ikaw ngayong nasa innermost lane na mabilis,- mapapapreno ng malakas, punta ng middle lane at overtake...

the way i see it, parang yung mga pumapasok na sasakyan sa mga e-pass/e-tap lane. kahit gano karami karatula, signages, etc. eh di pa rin nasusunod.

kadalasan sa SLEX sa umaga kundi babae ay matanda yang mga walang pake kung magbabad sa passing lane.. hindi siguro talaga nila alam.. deadma nalang ako maluwag naman kadalasan..

pabalik ng manila sa hapon ang nakaka buset mga nagbababad sa passing lane.. lalo na pag nagmamadali ka.. halos lahat ng lane magagamit mo para maka overtake..

We really need more signage on our highways. And I think the size of the NLEX's signs are ridiculously small! You have to be close to it to read it.

I really get annoyed when I am driving at the maximum limit and a driver would turn on their high beam for me to move aside and let them pass and then they overtake and drive slower than I do. Highway driving is not about accelerating and decelerating which is just inconsistent driving. It's about driving consistently which is why cruise control got invented.

hindi ko na exactly matandaan kung san banda or location.
pero dun sya sa gitnang lane na pang 60kph lane na dinadaan palagi ng mga bus
dun na kasi ako tumatambay sa 80kph lane at passing lane/100kph.
pero alam ko nandun pa yung lubak hanggang ngayon, try mo minsan magbabad

Parang crosswind ng client ko yan before, pinapagamit sa akin pag nag ikot ako sa branches with driver.

^ It had better not be the passing lane. People driving at 100km/h are not supposed to be making babad in that lane! I for one get annoyed when I encounter slow vehicles hogging the fast lane who wouldn't move over when people flash at them. But when I do get pass them though, I make sure that I never see them again. :hysterical:

daming ganito lalo na sa SLEX, nakaharang sa overtaking lane, di talaga alam kung panu gamit ng lane na yun. Akala talaga ng karamihan basta nasa 100kph ka pwede ka bumabad sa lane na yun Iwas na lang para di masira araw.

I really think that the leftmost lane should only have those folks who want to pass. Don't care if they drive faster than the max limit.

Pero yes, nakakainis nga yung mga gustong mag-overtake pero saksakan ng bagal pa...

Nanawa nadin ako kaka flash at busina sa mga yan, sobra dami nila, parang tuloy naiisip ko sila tama ako mali.

Meron din tumatabi after several flashing then right after ko sila ma overtake balik ako sa kanan para ipaalam sa kanila yun ang tama. Pero pagkita ko sa rear mirror bumalik yung mokong sa passing lane.

Meron din ako kasabayan mga mabibilis din na nag fa-flash sa mga mabagal at naiirita din pero babad din din sila sa kaliwa. Parang lumabas sa buong byahe ko ako lang ang di nagbababad sa passing lane

Which lane do you occupy when they flash you?

I drive in the appropriate lane which I believe is the cruising (middle) lane. The thing is, a lot of people do drive at around 90 kph on the passing lane which makes the other drivers weave in and out.

I drive everyday on the SLEx and this is almost a daily occurence for me. Sigh...

Perhaps the SLEx people should put signs with speed limits and vehicle types appropriate for each lane. I doubt though that this would be enough to curb the motorists who hog the passing lane.

And speaking of signs, I find the signs on the NLEx a bit too small. You need to be quite close to see it and by the time you do, you would already have passed your exit. They charge so much and yet scrimp on the sign size. They probably do want you to pass your exit so you'd gave to double back and end up paying more toll fees as well as burn more fuel.
