OGAGs at mga BOBO? dumarami sila pag dumarami din ang populasyon. They multiply becausse the HID technology is not something that people learn in a formal setting. But in a trial-and-error setting. Kaya there's bound to be some OGAGs and BOBO around.
They are not to be blamed. Instead let us keep them away from becoming OGAGs and BOBO by informing them that they should not think of only filling their pockets but instead advise or restrain some car owners from installing HIDs in cars of metro use.

That is why I can only surmise that people using HIDs are just "kulang sa pansin" or simply want to be different at the expense of other people's safety.
But I believe HID will be very helpful in rural settings, especially in long lonely, poorly lighted, highways where vehicles are few and far between. Even in areas where fogs often dawns on streets and highways. Do we have fogs in Metro Manila? I wonder!
Proper use? What may be proper to some may appear improper to others. Forgetting to dim when necessary is often the excuse. But damage may be disastrous at the receiving end.
    Banned? absolutely in the metro.
Pano yung mga cars that come with HID as standard? Cars like Toyota Camry and Mazda 3 2.0 to name a few. Ibig sabihin gusto mo din ma-ban yung mga kotseng ito. IMO, it is unfair for the owners of such cars.

Bro I said sana HID should be banned in the metro. Not ban the car, nor ban HID in all places. This means that owners of cars fitted with HIDs may use it outside the metro or receive tickets for violations when they enter the metro using their HIDs. Or if they are sensible enough, metro residents should opt to buy cars without HIDs, an option they can insist on manufacturers. I hope this is clear enough. tnx

sa mga countries like ours madaling makalusot itong mga aftermarket conversion kits na ito. it's because they’re not street legal in most countries like europe.

I don't think naman car manufacturers would install something on their cars that would pose danger to the general public. Siguro de kandila ang headlights mo.

Don't people who have HID kits as standard live in the city? Take Makati, for example, where residents of posh villages, such as Forbes and Dasma, who frequent the CBD, are affluent enough to buy vehicles that come with HID kits as standard. Based on your point, you're saying that they should opt to buy a Benz or BMW that comes with a halogen kit instead of a standard issue xenon or run the risk of getting caught? I don't think that's the way progress and new technology should go.

Xenon/HID is the new technology. It's helluva lot brighter and thus more efficient than halogen. The problem with such technology is that it's already coming to us relatively cheap and thus subject to abuse, since it's plug and play.

I think you're barking up the wrong tree by saying that all HIDs should be banned, and that all those with HIDs in Metro Manila should be ticketed. HID is after all new and useful technology. What should be done is to ban those using the wrong color of HIDs, and those HIDs installed in the wrong headlamp assemblies that emit more glare rather than provide more useful light. HIDs are better used in projector type headlamp assemblies.

I think the problem exists in creating a safety standard for these devises and properly enforcing them. We cant even enforce RHD converted vehicles properly, what more HID converted vehicles.

maybe the best way to use this HID is in the foglamps, just to add some light to your stock light. and magamit lang sa tamang kalsada.
