passive-aggressive daw ito mga taong ito. it could be both ways they were a victim of a previous misfortune (not limited to car freak accident, but all crises in life) and made them paranoid or fearful or vengeful. walang closure na nangyari. when you confront them, like for instance, takutin mo by threatening to sideswipe/ram his/her car, they become too aggressive, hence road rage, at pag minalas malas ka pa baka sundan hanggang pauwi hehehe. or it could be another way, like yun mag-freeze na lang sila sa takot and the car makes an abrupt stop in the middle of the road.

now, if you're going to ask me kumbakit mga bus, jeep, fx, tricycle drivers ganito din ang behaviour sa kalsada? hindi ko alam hehehe, maybe they're just plain dumb or plain greedy!

Maybe this is the only time wherein they have any kind of power so they don't know how to handle it. Once they get down from their vehicles they're just normal poor people with very low status. imho

Para sakin, I.Q.-related yang driving in the middle of two lanes.

I think it is simply because almost none of them went to driving school. And also, they don't have peers (or barkada/tropa) tulad nitong Tsikot, where they can discuss these driving practices.

Another problem is that on most of our roads, wala na yung lane markings, kaya mas mahirap mag stay sa tamang lane, like on edsa, on other roads like the SLEX (most)drivers tend to stay in the lanes since the markings are clearly visible.

add ko lang, even before the adventure incident as mentioned earlier in this thread, i was harrassed by transit buses, one nearly cost me a wing mirror on the right. sadly, nagbigay na lang ako nung lagay na iyon. then after nung pina-una ko na yung bus, aba lech, two lanes ang sinakop, running at about 30 kph, nananadya pa, pag-iiwas ako, humaharang. hehehe. hindot.

Napansin ko 'pre, parang this is the first time you were harassed like this while driving. Hehe. If you have been driving here in the Philippines for years, you would have been immune by now.

correct ka dyan, ILD. if we want better drivers and safer roads, then there should a campaign to educate motorists and pedestrians or passengers. however, if we would rely to the government alone, this seemed impossible. syempre kelangan ng budget dyan. what we ought to do is to impose a stiffer penalty and stricter policy on applying for a drivers' license, especially to the PUV sector.

IPSG: nope, i'm just sharing my thoughts. immune? should we be immuned by a lack of discipline? i don't think so. i've had my share, believe me. what we are trying establish here in tsikot, that a tsikoteer must be wary of road courtesy, discipline, etc. and somehow, this is a better start to educate drivers lacking skills.

these things piss me off too. pero trying to nudge the guy into the proper lane was, i think dangerous. pabayaan mo na lang sya. malay mo may kausap sa phone or something and he wasnt paying any attention to the lanes. or he does have some psychological thing.

i think that it is enough to overtake them, and hopefully never have to encounter them on the road anymore.

i definitely agree on this. not just public utility drivers. plus the fact that they know they have nothing to lose.

can't say, pero ako, i always make my point to nudge the driver back to the proper lane whether private or PUV. just make it swift.

Pwede bang maglabas ng sama ng loob?

It happened dawn, Sunday 20 Nov (around 2am yata). Pauwe na kme ng tropa from Las Piņas going to Makati sa Coastal Road. Napansin ko na may red na Expedition na 8 plaka (tong-gressman!) tapos may L-300 na back up na naka-hazard light. Ok naman yung Expe pero tarantado talaga yung L-300 kse ba naman, it was taking up two lanes at a time. On one point, I want to pass kse uwing uwe na kmeng lahat (Lancer dala ko that time), eh yung lintek na L-300 ayaw akong padaanin eh sya nakaharang sa daan ko. So uminit agad ulo ko at ginitgit ko yung tangang L-300 then nilagpasan ko. Ogag talaga tapos nag-wang-wang pa! Eh ano ngayon?! Pohtah! Ang sakin lang, why the hell does he have to occupy two lanes whereas pwede naman sya sa likod ng amo nya! Pasalamat sya that I didn't had the patience to write the plate# of the L-300 and kicked their stupid asses sa Batasan! ggggggrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

:fire:

hmmm... parang you also did something wrong here, thus also aggravating the other driver. maybe a little honk would have helped.

estimated daily occurences of the following: (at least sa akin lang, travelling the fairview-commonwealth-katipunan-libis route daily)

    1. muntik akong masagi, mabangga, mabawasan ng side mirror, or similar happenings - 3 times on the average.

    2. may nag-cut sa akin na muntik kong mabangga - 2 - 3 times.

    3. may motorsiklo na muntik kong mabangga - once a day.

    5. other incidents of similar nature, that could cause fender benders or damage that would not reach the minimum participation sa insurance - 3 times.

    NLEX kagabi...

I was signalling to go to the left for about a few seconds already... when I was already going the the left lane, a Rav4 SV suddenly appeared out of nowhere and almost hits me my left side. what I did then was to shift back to my lane and just matched his speed... inipit ko na lang sa mababagal na nasa left and harapan niya.

Foolish drivers. Ano bang problema nyo?!
