This unfortunate incident happened at around 9am this morning on my way to the clinic. I was following a tricycle (approx speed: 20-30KPH) on a 2 way street when suddenly a 7 years old boy crossed the street from the opposite side. I immediately stepped on the brakes but the momentum of the Furt… must have hit him causing him to fall down on the pavement. Good thing he only suffered a small swelling behind his head. The mother of the boy was busy attending to her other child that she did not notice the boy suddenly crossed the street.
The bystanders, some were even my patients, told me to just go anyway my speed is slow and the boy is okay. But I insisted on bringing the child to my clinic for a thorough examination and a skull X-ray just to be on the safe side. Good thing my initial exam and preliminary Xray is okay. I sent the boy home and instructed to follow-up tomorrow.
I am usually a slow and careful driver and I even don’t drink so I am often the “designated driver” after parties but accident like this do happen sometimes.

June 8th, 2006 03:12 PM #2Good thing walang serious na problema nangyari. Kudos also for being a responsible motorist. Accidents really happen at a time we expected it the least. Nangyari sa kin yan some time ago. May nakatigil namang jeep on my left in a oneway street then suddenly may tumawid na bata coming from the jeepney side. Naghahabulan kasi sila. Di ko nakita kasi natatakpan ng jeep. Tilapon yung bata. Later discovered nagka fracture yung collar bone. Kaya mag tsikoteers, ingat lang sa kalye! More so sa mga eskinita dahil maraming bata...remember: pag may bolang tumawid, kasunod non bata!

Thank Innoko. We should help our victim unless our life will be in danger dahil marami ring gagong tambay esp if kamag-anak yong victim. Good thing I know a lot of people in the area.
Palagi nalang tayong magdasal before driving.

actually, that is the right thing to do in these cases. you have to bring the victim even though it's not your fault. para maka-siguro na walang problema later on saka humanitarian cause na rin.

Alright! Idol!
What you think an adult will never do, pagdating sa bata, talo-talo na - down the drain ang assumptions mo.
