Guys, I was cruising along Roxas Blvd. yesterday around 12 noon and turned right on P. Ocampo (street in front of CCP). May dalawang stoplights dun. Ung isa tabi ng gas station at ung isa naman sa pakaliwa ng Harrison.
Nung nasa tabi na ako ng gas station, I halted dahil RED ang stoplight. Now, eto nangyari: Since 4 lane ung daan (2 papuntang taft, at 2 pabalik ccp). May Ford Explorer (pick-up version) na nag-occupy ng 3rd lane (which was supposed to be para sa mga pabalik ccp). After nya may sumunod naman na Honda SIR. Nagtaka ako kasi pinara ng traffic enforcer (naka-brown) ung SIR pero ung Explorer hinayaan lang nya. Di naman otso o diplomat ung plaka. Eh since naka-open windows ko (tumigil kasi buhos ng ulan nun at tipid ako sa aircon dahil malamig na), couldn't help but overhear what the enforcer told the driver. Eto sabi: "Pano nyan counterflow ka? Violation yan eh... tabi mo muna ha?"
WTH? Then I checked the LTO website regarding counterflow as a violation and what I found were violations that could be connected to the case but this is what I found weird. Can you consider it as counterflow if:
1. No traffic was directly against the lane taken by the SIR which just followed the EXPLORER.
2. The SIR was half inside the proper lane (dahil sagad na nakagilid ung mga sasakyad sa right-most lane); and
3. How come the SIR was halted while the EXPLORER wasn't? To the fact na dalawa silang pulis na nandun nung time na yun?
Could anyone shed some light on this? TIA.
And pls., di po ako nagkukunwari na hindi ako ung driver ng SIR. You could tell by my sig na nandun lang talaga ako nung sinita siya. =D
