Lagot ako sa Mommy ko. I forgot to register my car. I thought monthly ang penalty, weekly pala

Kapag ba 1 ang ending for the whole month of January ang renewal or depends on the middle plate pa? eg if your plate is 821 = 1st week of Jan?

Kasi wala ako stickers since 2013 up to 2014. Di ko na nakuha, pero narenew naman oto this year, though nakalagay pa din sa receipt ngayon is "NO STICKER AVAILABLE". So far, since 2013 di naman ako pinara to check yung rehistro, alam kasi siguro nila yung problem ng LTO. So, yung sinasabi nilang 45 days para sa new plate naman... baka 450 days ibig sabihin nun!

BTW, January rehistro ko... to avoid hassle of going to our beloved LTO offices, sa suking emission testing na lang ako nagpapatulong. I avail it na rin kasi I had an unfair experienced sa LTO before. ;)

Same here, as much i could, i don't want to get close to any goverment office as tataas lang BP ko. Honda use to handle my car registration but since this year they stop na, sa emission test center near my place na lang nag process ng registrations ko. As everyone is saying, 45 days pa release ng plates & sticker. There use to be a saying, "Justice delayed is justice denied". Now it's "service delayed is what our goverment can provide"!

Example: mr. Car buyer visited the dealer and bought a montero 2014 version. Is it possible for the dealer to register it as a 2015 model or will it really say 2014 in the ORCR?
LTO determines the year model of the car based on the date the car is built. In the example you gave the car will still be a 2014 if the car was manufactured in 2014 but is 2015 registered

Congressmen to get new protocol plates
By Paolo Romero (The Philippine Star) |
    Updated March 10, 2015 - 12:00am

MANILA, Philippines - Members of the House of Representatives will be issued new “8” protocol license plates bearing the text “16th Congress” to prevent the use of old and fake congressional plates, Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. said.

Belmonte said the new marking indicates that the license plate would be effective only until June 2016 or until the 16th Congress ends.

Ok yung comment sa Philstar, dapat daw protocol plate [M] - Magnanakaw :p

I've seen vehicles sporting "8" plates circa 2001 series pa. Mas ok pa nga noon eh, kita yung congressional district until a Honorable Member of the House genius said that this has "security" concerns. (pero pag "8" lang wala? lels)

Better yet, ABOLISH all protocol plates - leave only "1" and "2".

My SA called me up last night on our ride's plate number.

I was hoping she'd say that plates are now available.

Apparently, she was just checking and confirming with me...

    Oh well...

Incoming SolGen to probe LTO license plates mess
    Published June 7, 2016 11:07am
    Updated June 7, 2016 3:06pm

Incoming Solicitor General Jose Calida is going to scrutinize questionable government contracts, particularly the controversial deal involving the new car license plates.

Calida said he would probe the P3.8-billion supply contract that the Land Transporation Office awarded to a Dutch firm for new license plates.

The Senate had questioned the LTO for bidding out the contract in 2013 despite not having enough funds for the project. It had an approved budget of P3.85 billion in 2014, but in 2013 it was only appropriated with P187 million.

I got my plates 1 year after I bought the car. Not that it matters, since the LTO allows cars to travel with just conduction plates anyway.

It's such a first-world problem to fuss over, compared to other more pressing issues that our government needs to address.

Ayos. Solb. No problem. Bakit nga ba may plate number pa?
