    parts.
if the replacement parts are brand new, depreciation might have to be added to the car owner's tab. insurance does not cover depreciation.
but if owner brings in the replacement parts, whether new or surplus, then insurance won't have to bill for depreciation nor for parts.

    i suspect,
the repair facility and the insurance provider are not on very friendly terms.
i suspect, the insurance adjuster or whatever he is called, may not be effective in doing his job of being the middleman between insurer and repairer (and costumer?).

    the casa.
some repair jobs are done in-casa.
other repair jobs are sourced out.

note: i have seen better repair jobs from shops that are non-casa.
Regarding parts. Brand new yun kotse sabi niya na accident same month ng binili niya June of last year.
    No depreciation for the parts.

here's the accident, other damages are more of pang-ilalim, shocks, cross-member assembly, knuckles, etc

Sorry for the confusion.

I can feel the frustration, followup kang followup wala nangyayari then magtuturuan pa pag ganyan. Then no results from DTI. Have you considered tulfo?

    I feel you bro.

Ako I've more or less given up na on CASAs. Lucky lang to have a friend who owns a repair shop and is nearby. If your car is available in the US market you can often buy and ship in any part you need for significantly cheaper than it will cost to source locally, let alone buy from the CASA. Our local car industry is built on bilking the consumer.

Sa 2010 Sorento namin, we bring in parts from South Korea para di kami dependent sa casa. A few of the parts started breaking down and needed replacement.

I'm not sure if Kia under Ayala is any better. Although I cannot prove it baka ang ginawa nito is pinaikot muna ang pera na galing sa insurance ko to cater to another customer who's probably waiting in line for his vehicle. Palibhasa nakita nila ako going there to visit using 3 diffferent vehicles eh hindi naman sa akin yun!

from the pictures alone, the damage appears to be a "not-unusual" damage. the body and bumper are easy probably to repair.

it's the suspension that i am worried about.
it might have been irreparably twisted beyond repair.

no traffic that time as i can recall. all i can remember is kalahati na kami ng truck nung bigla syang nag cut, i can't do a full break that time because our 5 month old was with us and she's still not used to being fastened on the car seat.

Either walang ngang funds for parts yung casa or incompetent yung mga mekaniko.

almost lahat sa ilalim na paltan na except for the mags and tire. I was able to drive the car early Feb and may vibration pero walang kabig. Ang sabi sa akin ng kasama ko na mechanic is because of the mags and tires yun. Is that possible?

    then it's decided.
either casa is dragging its feet, or insurance liaison is in-effective, or insurance is hee-ing and haw-ing.

Just to give you an idea sa mga kapal-pakan nila. Ito yung replacement bumper. The car has parking sensors na OEM, ang kinuha nila na bumper is yung walang butas.

Yes sa lower trim optional yun, pero top off the line OEM yun.
