Nahuli ako jan noong friday for beating the yellow light. Pero inabot ako ng yellow light as I was crossing the intersection, hinde po ako naghabol.

minsan kasi hindi maiwasan. minsan din kasi it is more dangerous to try and stop so as not to beat the light.

    from what i know.

if you passed the intersection line green, then midway the light turns yellow you're ok.

if you passed the intersection line yellow, you're still ok.

if you pass the intersection line red, you have a violation.

even in the list of LTO violations, wala ka mababasa na "beating the yellow light". yun nga lang, hirap makapagtalo...

    mmda: obstruction to pedestrian ka.

Do what I do. I have the LTO website permanently bookmarked on my phone browser. Kung gustong mag-argue, may ammunition ka...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Yep. That traffic enforcer was just out to extort you. This one's for him

That's as simple as it can be. Common sense, but so hard to implement when the enforcer is after some lunch money. If his reasoning was the area being accident-prone, then he should've escalated his concern through the proper channels. If it's such a high speed intersection, then perhaps other proper measures should be taken to slow vehicle traffic down. Tsk Tsk!

And yes, they always turn a blind eye toward PUVs in violation of very basic traffic rules. Baka kasi kumpare or kamag-anak.
