If you happen to go to San Juan Batangas, habit ng jeep dun hahataw up to 100 km/h on a two lane road then biglang break pag may pumara... malas mo lang pag masyado kang malapit sa likod

hay naku... why cant they have more discipline in the road?

ang kulang kasi is the enforcement of the law

incidents na na-aaksidente ang mga PUV na yan because of their carelessness are the very reason why i dont commute anymore, well why would i commute if meron akong kotse? (also partly because hindi nako marunong hehehe)

Anyone watched the video uploaded by J Deakin? A jeepney unloaded on a no loading/unloading zone.

Then brake checks the SUV behind.

Eh naka solid bumpers (don't know how to call it) yung SUV, SUV kept ramming the jeepneys behind hahaha.

Pero mali pa din si SUV.

IMO the jeep deserved that, its nice in my opinion that somebody is taking action to stop this PUV madness... even if the SUV driver is wrong too

after reading through the comments ng video na yun, i'd like to express here na hindi nga naman dapat talaga i-encourage yung ganun behavior (ng SUV) but if the occasion calls for it... hehehe

if i remember correctly, during the days the worst that could happen in a road rage is magsuntukan ang tao, but now anybody could just bring out a gun then bang! patay ka

I wonder what happened next. Magka abalahan na sila. Lugi ang PUV, masayang oras ng SUV sa abala, his family will still eat 3 meals that day. Yang jeep eh maabala mo at di makapagtrabaho that day, hindi kakain pamilya nyan.

At some point I wished my car is equipped with the same bumpers. Jeepney driver asked for it.

    Mali? Oo. Parehong mali.

Like yesterday, on my daily route there's this notorious street na puros jeepney. I have no choice but to pass it since walang ibang way.

That "naghahanapbuhay lang ako" to justify everything is really too much BS excuse. Kahapon a barker told me that, sir naghahanapbuhay lang habang nakahambalang sila at wala makadaan.

according to James Deakin this what happens next

"To simplify, the jeep kept stopping to load and unload--including the strict no unloading areas. So the SUV beeped him. That angered the jeep who now started to brake check the SUV. first time was a miss as you can see but the SUV did hit him the next time. Then things escalated. The jeep did it again and you can see what happens from that point. Police arrive and the jeep said the SUV rear ended him for no reason and that he was stopping because there were cars in front. When presented with the video, the story changed and the Jeepney driver apologized profusely. The cop declared it as the jeep intentionally causing an accident--which is criminal--plus the no loading/unloading and a couple of other violations. The cop eventually asked the SUV owner to drop the criminal charge nalang and just go for the violations. SUV did and the Jeepney driver's license was confiscated and was fined."

speaking of the recklessness of these public commuter vehicles, just a while ago i rode in a trike after several years

but thats not all, nun umabot naman sa stoplight ng intersection bigla niyang binangga yung nag cut grabe ang lakas! tapos nag beat the red light siya at tinakasan, is it safe to go very fast in a trike? hindi ako takot sa mabilis na takbuhan pero natakot lng talaga ako in the trike..."

i dont want to be too discriminating to them but most of them wont have a job like that if they were properly educated right?

I think you don't need to be educated for you to discern yung tama at mali.

    Nakakaabala ba ako?

Common sense plays a lot (sadly which is not so common anymore)

Pero one time napag usapan namin ito, a friend told me na for them kasi na lahat ay wala na. What they value na lang is money for them to eat.

So screw values, screw everything. I need to earn.

    errr... why?
what's wrong with driving a PUJ for a living?
i do not believe that the dregs of society are the ones that end up driving PUJs.
i feel, however, that drivers learn to be inconsiderate and all that, driving PUJs, because the authorities do not do enough "policing".

i remember my officemate (OT na).

Not in any way defending PUJs, as a matter of fact in my area, grabe sila (PRC/Pasong tamo). Jusko lord ung U-turn before sa Circuit makati ginawang terminal. It doesn't help na ang makati yellow boys (and most City TEs) hindi hinuhuli ung blatant PUJ violators, parang invisible.. private vehicles lang naman sinisita nyang mga yan.

What helps me go thru each day w/o my blood boiling is this, ang iniisip ko nalang yan na ang kabuhayan nila.

Bad motoring etiquette: What you hate the most.
