    I didn't know it's a bad motoring etiquette... Guilty ako dito e.

Just a few weeks ago, I went inside my car, biglang pumreno yung kotse na nasa harap ko at naghazard na. E ako, I looked for any loose change first in the different pockets of my car, then prepared my ticket, then turned on my car's engine.

Then I counted for about 9 seconds before turning on my aircon's fan first. Turn on my music, wait for the engine to get hot. Pag bumaba na sa idling speed ang rpm nya, I know it's hot na. I next turn on the airconditioner itself.

Nainip yung nasa harap ko, binaba ang mirror nya sabay tanong, in an irritated voice, may kasabay pang simangot: "Boss, palabas ka na ba?" Ako naman masaya ako at tapos na ang work ko kaya I smiled at him nicely and say, "Pinapainit ko lang sandali" and raise my right hand as a sort of an apology.

Anyways, my point is, sino ba sila para pagmadaliin yung nakapark na?

If it's bad etiquette ko keep someone waiting for you to leave your parking space, then I think it's even worse na pagmadaliin yung mga nakapark at ipapakita mo pa na naiirita ka pa dahil ayaw nilang umalis kaagad.

They're already occupying the space so they have the right to leave when they choose.

Dati rin nga we did some grocery shopping tapos nilalagay na namin sa likod ng car, ayun may huminto na naman sa tapat namin. I closed the baggage compartment then turned on the alarm again tapos alis ulit ng parking dahil manonood pa talaga kami ng sine, binaba lang namin gamit namin.

Aba, bigla ba naman humarurot ng takbo yung kotse, pina-squeal pa yung gulong nya to show na he's mad.

Nasa Medical City ako kahapon hinihintay ko kapatid kong sunduin ako and I could not believe how many stupid impatient drivers kept honking their horns para umalis yung nasa harap nila, eh samantalang nagsasakay-baba lang yung mga sasakyan sa harap at di naman nagtatagal (kasi papaalisin ka ng guard if you stayed for more than 30 seconds).

+100. Very well said sir.

I also hate those drivers who "stalk" you once you get out of the mall and start walking to your car. There was a time when I abruptly stopped to scratch an itchy ankle. Aba, umiyak yung brakes nung nambubuntot sa akin. So annoying. When I got to my car, I dumped my groceries in the trunk and went back to the mall.

Whenever I go to my car and I see stalkers prowling, I always take an erratic path, and sometimes cut through islands.

The strange thing is... there are still 1000's of vacant slots on the upper levels (megamall, sm north, trinoma).

And yeah, when they do wait for me to leave the slot, some of them even block my exit (yung mga SUVs). I have to tell them to back off para makalabas ako.

    Malakas manutok.

This morning at C5 there was an sir that I was following the whole time (not intentionally) we were running at around 120 kph when we had to slow down because there was a motorcycle at the fast lane and we couldn't overtake because we got boxed in. Tinutukan talaga niya yung motorcycle in front and I was quite scared for the motorcycle because it was as if he was bullying the motorcycle to move to the middle lane. I guess the motorcycle had no idea that he wasn't supposed to linger at the fast lane if he's travelling slower than the rest of traffic. He must have been running at 60 kph. Still I don't think it was right for the sir na tumutok ng ganun especially since it was just a motorcycle.

To add to that - have you ever noticed in the most multi-level parking buildings/basements: Some drivers stop their car when they're just at the egress point of the ramp to the next level. They then scout the area for possible vacant slots for what seems like forever. At the same time, they're totally oblivious of the queue of cars they've blocked up.

The problem is because some people do not know how to use the road. If you are slow, take the right lanes. It also would help if motorcycles would have rear view mirrors. I see many motorcycles without these safety items or have uselessly small rearview mirrors which are there for style and pointless to use to see what is behind you.

hahaha same here. parang sinasabi ko pa sa isip ko na "sige sundan mo ko" tapos biglang pasok sa mga gaps ng cars. tuloy pa sneaky sneaky pa ko para lang pumunta sa auto ko.

what's more irritating is if the car waiting for your slot is going in the wrong way. what i do is tutukan ko talaga siya at siya ang umatras. nakakakuha tuloy ako ng wierd stares na parang ako pa mali. bahala sila. and most of the time, nauunahan tuloy sila ng nasa tamang direction. hahaha

When I notice a driver "stalking" me I point to where I am parked so he could wait for me there. There were several occasions when a driver did the same gesture to me.

Recently I came across a rude person in S&R. When I was done loading my groceries in the the trunk, I was surprised when a lady approached me and got my shopping cart, I thought she was just helping me out but I noticed that she looked piss. I had no idea that she was standing beside my car the whole time because she "reserved" the slot I was parked on. There were a lot of vacant slots it just so happened that mine was close to the entrance.

Double whammy. Stalker na. Nag reserve pa ng slot. Their car was a Land Cruiser. Goes to show talaga that money can't buy class.

Bad motoring etiquette: What you hate the most.
