Nagbibigay ako sa pedestrians na tumatawid sa tamang tawiran, kahit walang stoplight, basta ped lane. Although guilty rin ako na minsan hindi, dahil alanganin. Pag nag sudden brake ako baka salpukin pa ko ng nasa likod ko kaya I honk at the pedestrian na lang.

Pero pag tatawid ka ng buong EDSA, or tatawid ka at may footbridge naman sa itaas mo, ewan ko sayo bahala ka. Katamaran na yan. Busina at flash abot nila sakin. Di ko talaga hinihintuan mga ganun pero syempre di ko naman sasagasaan. Haha.

I stop for people crossing at pedestrian lanes -- whenever it's safe, that is. Like what chiks said, kung biglang brake at may risk na ako naman ang salpukin ng nasa likod, better na ituloy na lang granted the pedestrian knows your intentions. I would think it would be the lesser of two evils because the pedestrian would be attentive to whether or not you'll let him cross, so he just won't bolt in front of you, rather than getting the blame from the idiot following too closely behind you, too busy to see your sudden brake coz he was texting.

For pedestrian lanes with stop lights, that's when I check both my light and theirs. Kung Go na ako at Stop na sila, aba, may mabubusinahan. Then again, there are times na Go kayo pareho (coz turning lane siguro), so for those, menor na lang.

Nakakaasar nga yung mga ayaw gumamit ng pedestrian overpass, samantalang andun na ang lahat ng sign na No Jaywalking, Bawal tumawid nakamamatay. Can't totally blame them coz the jack*$$es in the government have not exactly designed user friendly overpasses, although it's unfair as well for them to put their lives at risk at the expense of yours.

Isa pa yang mga tinted plate covers na yan. Ang dami ko laging nakikita while passing through EDSA from Caloocan every single day.

Potential hit-and-runners?

Potential criminals. Or mga wala na sa uso sa pormahan. Nauso dati yung tinted plate covers. From what I heard, yes, pinagbawalan na yan, although you won't be apprehended for just that violation as it's a secondary violation only. Unless you're in the Republic of Makati wherein, good luck sa iyo.

Pinipili ko lang dun yung binubusinahan kong pedestrian. Minsan may nabusinahan akong grupo ng jejefriends eh, sila pa galit at akmang hahampasin yung hood. Pagkahampas nun tatakbo lang yun kaya ikaw lang ang talo. In short, pagbigyan na lang, ilang seconds lang yan. :D

Ang mga kinaaasaran kong pedestrian ay yung akala ay nasa Luneta sila naglalakad. Rarampa na parang nasa catwalk. Lech! Or yung mga pinagbigyan mo na nga, binagalan pa lalo yung pagtawid, or yung mga maglakad, talagang hahabulin na makaapak sa pedestrian lane, pero pag andun na, kabagal-bagal tumawid!

If it's a no-traffic light pedestrian, I try to get out of the car's way as fast as I can, especially kung mabait yung driver at talagang nagbigay. Sukli ko na lang sa kanya Thank you, at mabilis na pagtawid.

Special mention sa mga FEU students. Naglagay na nga ng stop light and clearly marked ped xing sa gate nila sa Morayta, exclusively for stopping cars so students can cross the street safely. Pero kahit na green yung traffic light for cars, tuloy pa rin ng tawid.

Isa pang nakakainis ay yung nakita na parating na yung kotse pero tatakbo pa rin para tumawid....tapos kapag medyo nangalahati na sa pagtawid sa harap biglang bagal yung pace.

Buti na lang hindi sila nag-abot. Though kung sumalpok yung Innova, pwede ka nang makisawsaw sa traffic enforcer. Baka biglang baliktarin si owner type jeep.

True, kung sumalpok sila, it would have looked like si owner ang nag cause ng accident since he would have hit the Innova who came out of the sidestreet very fast.

malamang kasi meron taga subdivision na pumara sa tapat ng gate mismo. half of the blame should be on them.

Yun nga ang hirap sa Pinoy. Tamad. Ayaw maglakad ng konti para hindi makasagabal. Tapos, yung mga hinayupak na PUV at taxi, wala ding pakialam basta may pumara, stop agad. Sandali lang daw at may sasakay/bababa.

Yes change comes from within. But in the meantime that a lot of people don't want to, someone's gotta make it happen forcefully.

I don't know now, but when SBMA was with the Gordons after the Americans left, they could enforce traffic laws pretty well.

are you refering to the battery-operated scooters? of course they do not know how to drive... they have no driver's license. they are not required to have one!
perhaps it is time to change this law...

What really would get in my nerves would be those drivers entering the concha cruz gate in bf homes that would not line up in the "With sticker" lane and would use the "no sticker lane" just to get ahead of those cars lining up properly..

To those people that cut in line.. You guys are not good nor smart drivers.

I feel guilty na medyo naging aggressive ako kanina sa paglipat ng lane. I'm not an aggressive driver, as much as possible I wait for my turn and I keep distance. Medyo nainis lang ako kanina kasi kapag sumesenyas ako using my turning light, instead na padaanin ako eh lalong ayaw nila ako padaanin at naggitgitan sila. Pakiramdam ko nagrebelde ako sa sarili kong principles, hindi na ako sumenyas at nag ala-taxi mode na sumaksak sa lane.
So ayun, bottomline, kung sino man yung nasingitan ko kanina sorry, I stooped down to some inapproriate level.

This morning I lost it when a GTEx nearly scraped my driver's door as he tried to cut from the leftmost lane (which is for turning left only) to the middle lane (for obedient cars going straight) of Paseo de Roxas before Villar St. He nearly hit me as he did not slow down and hoped to intimidate me to stop, I put down my window, gave him the stare as his window was open and pushed his side mirror in ire so he could not turn immediately (it was only inches away from me).

In the Makati Ave - Buendia stoplight naman, may nagsuntukan na taxi driver and GTEx driver. Baboons. :lol:

Well one thing I really hate are the assholes who try their best to not get overtaken especially on a 2-way road. Tipong gusto ka pabalikin sa likod niya, and when you do, this imbecile will start driving at pedestrian speed again. Nakakadegrade ba ng pagkalalaki ang maovertakean ngayon??
