^In the early mornings before they did the stoplight timing changes, if i wanted to reach the green light from Ayala Ave - Sedeno - Villar, one had to be first in line along the Ayala stoplight then drag race moves ka hanggang Makati Ave intersection. It was useless really since at the Paseo - Makati Ave. stoplight, those left behind at the previous red lights would eventually reach you... but it was a fun way to stretch your car's legs. :D

Years ago, there used to be this diplomatic plate Range Rover who would regularly counterflow on Villar Street during rush hour. The worst i've seen him do was go on the Paseo De Roxas sidewalk on Ayala Triangle... ampch talaga yun.

Going back to driving etiquette, I was going uphill last night and another driver refused to give me right of way. Oh well.

this pickup na pumaparada sa harap namin everydat (not necessarily blocking the gate). tapos nung isang araw eh umalis sila at dumating ang pinsan ko, obviously they will park there sa tapat namin. aba naman, nung bumalik na itong bulok na pickup eh pinapalayas yung pinsan ko kesyo kanya daw yun.

eh hello, kalsada yun, public property, walang may-ari. free for all kung paparadahan yun, hindi pwede angkinin. ang angas pa.

Yesterday, while at Paseo de Roxas cor Makati Ave: I was going to turn left, so I took the 2nd to the leftmost lane. Someone was in the leftmost lane, and there is a left arrow -- not a left or straight arrow -- a left arrow clearly painted on the lane.

Jack*$$ in a dark gray CRV pulls up behind me, not too close to be dangerous, but too close to turn away. When the light turns green for the folks going straight, he gets on his stebel magnum-high pitched horn trying to move me forward.

Why should I? Lane marking was clear, not faded. It says left. The left turn light was still red.

Light turned green, and I shifted into D and pulled away cautiously. I was with the family, was not in a hurry, and the road was wet. He was still on his horn. It was fading a bit. Bad connection I guess, or bad copy.

there's his mistaken reason for 'owning' the slot. he forgets that it's a public street, and possession is 9/10s of the law

    true sir.

plus the blatantly obvious fact that the supposed authorities have painted the lane to be a left turning lane.

buti sana kung 1 lang ang left turning lane tapos doon kayo nakahinto at nag-green ang padiretso. now that would be obstruction.

experienced this too on a backstreet on baguio, napakatarik ng backstreet sa baguio, pagdating ko sa top at aahon may jeep na di ako pinagbigyan. kaya ayun sira momentum, iyak ulit makina para makaahon, and it doesnt help na sumayad yung ilalim namin dahil sa sobrang steep ng incline.
