July 3rd, 2007 03:59 PM #31The yellow box at intersections do not always extend towards the corners... at those corners where they don't touch where a car can clearly fit through the gap between the yellow box corner and the sidewalk corner....then it is clear to turn right on red. (of course considerations on clear traffic etc...) It's the same system in the US.

July 3rd, 2007 05:55 PM #32Update: Apparently, there is a little sign on Araneta Ave./E. Rodriguez that says that one can not make a right turn on red. It's sort of hidden behind a light post. Watch out.

It's unfair to the motorists.

Mayors? DPWH? LTO? DOTC?
Yap pag may yellow box sa intersection, di talagang pwedeng mag-right turn pag red yung traffic light.

June 23rd, 2009 11:43 AM #35Is there a traffic violation if the vehicle is on an area between the pedestrian lane and the yellow box during a 'red' (or stop) light instance in an intersection? In other words, the vehicle is on a part of the road where no markings whatsoever are being stepped on by the vehicle. It just so happens that in between the pedestrian lane and the yellow box, there is a space enough for a vehicle to fit in.
