    # RED SIGNAL
Unless a sign indicates otherwise, a right turn may be made on a red signal or from a one-way street to a one-way street provided the vehicle is first brought to a stop, and always subject to the right of way of pedestrians and other traffic.

I keep a copy of this list (http://www.lto.gov.ph/fines2.html#v1) in the car. So when needed, I can check the violation I am accused of against this document. Kung wala dito, I would politely contest the allegation.

katwiran nila "keep the intersection open".
Yung yellow box with X... yes, definitely it means keep the intersection open. Lalong traffic lang ang dulot nito... just like counter-flow.

go ahead basta be careful dahil talo ka pag nagkaroon ng collision.

same as no u-turn sign, pag wala, pwede. ganun din ingat dahil pag

Driving along EDSA ext from Taft Ave towards Roxas Blvd, I'm always on the left side kasi iwas sa mga jeep and bus na nagloload and unload.Pag dating sa mga U-TURN slots I swerve to the next lane as it narrows. Mga 3 to 4 slots siguro yung ganun. Pagdating sa me Roxas Blvd. pina flag down ako nung trffic enforcer. Pero hindi ko pinapansin.Twice na nangyari sa kin to. Me mali ba sa ginagawa ko? Kasi if I stay sa middle all thru out, kina cut cut ako ng mga PUB and PUJ. Hope you can enlighten me on this. Tnx.

Siguro to be on the safe side, stay ka na lang in the middle if not in the right portion of the road.

One good example can be seen along Araneta Ave. cor. E. Rodriguez. I usually see a couple of yellow officers waiting for motorists (cabs and MC) to make a right on E. Rod from Araneta.

I made sure after seeing all this to look for the sign that says I can't make a right turn on red light, but I don't think it's there.

    So there ya go. Ipaglaban!

    no sign = no violation.

tayo ba pag walang pera, pwede ba tayo magdahilan para di magbayad ng buwis? that's nuts, the government can't provide a sign because they're busy corrupting our hard-earned money!

go lang basta be courteous sa naka go at be careful in turning right.
also, be patient with them TOs, they always think sila ang tama.

Hindi naman sila iyong nasa right of way.

Anyway again, pwede ka kumanan basta ba malinis ang daan at pinagbibigyan mo iyong nasa right of way.

minsan meron din talagang nangongotong lang.... i have encountered some traffic enforcers dun sa may a. bonifacio after turning right from c3. pinapara ba naman ako! sa isip-isip ko lang eh di ko malaman kung ano violation ko since kakaliko ko lang and imposible na may makita sila na violation sa kin maliban na lang kung bawal mag right turn dun pero impossible na walang right turn dun dahil may breakaway lane so hindi ako huminto

The yellow box at intersections do not always extend towards the corners... at those corners where they don't touch where a car can clearly fit through the gap between the yellow box corner and the sidewalk corner....then it is clear to turn right on red. (of course considerations on clear traffic etc...) It's the same system in the US.

Update: Apparently, there is a little sign on Araneta Ave./E. Rodriguez that says that one can not make a right turn on red. It's sort of hidden behind a light post. Watch out.

katuwiran ko sa Traffic police , wala namang NO RIGHT TURN ON RED SIGNAL sign

It's unfair to the motorists.

Mayors? DPWH? LTO? DOTC?

Yap pag may yellow box sa intersection, di talagang pwedeng mag-right turn pag red yung traffic light.

Is there a traffic violation if the vehicle is on an area between the pedestrian lane and the yellow box during a 'red' (or stop) light instance in an intersection? In other words, the vehicle is on a part of the road where no markings whatsoever are being stepped on by the vehicle. It just so happens that in between the pedestrian lane and the yellow box, there is a space enough for a vehicle to fit in.
