here is my observation. although hindi pa naman nangyari sa akin yan, naging victim na rin kami ng traffic light incident. ang MO naman e tatabihan ka, then tatanggalin ang side mirrors.

ok balik tayo sa incident. as i said, yang mga yan, sina-psyche din nila ang prospective victims nila. pag mukhang di papalag, then game-on. basta wala lang aanga-anga. relax lang pero alert.

but we can prevent this. just lock all your doors, invest in a non-lethal but legal to carry self-defense weapon say, pepper spray(mace) na hindi expired. yung akin na-expire. which remind me to buy another.

a similar event happened to my late father a couple of years ago......he was waiting for the red light to turn green when a man and a woman kept on knocking on his window....the guy was even shouting for my dad to open his door, luckily the stoplight turned green so he was able to getaway.......this happened on abad santos street corner tayuman street

Seriously, I believe that you'll be committing a grave mistake deliberately and intentionally bumping someone just to save your own car.

So if a bus is being held-up, it's forgivable for him to bump your car and wreck it, just to attract attention?

Or if a bank is being held-up, can the guards simply and randomly shoot any car just to attract attention and save their bank?

And if my house has been broken in by thieves, will you forgive me if i set fire to your house (assuming we're neighbors) so i can attract attention and save my own properties?

Again, walang personalan, but I just would like to point out that readers of this thread should not be inspired by this plain and simple selfish instinct. Parang trabahong pulitiko 'yan, just to save themselves, they create diversionary tactics. Pag ganito tayong lahat kawawa ang mga katabi't kapitbahay natin, ililigtas ang sarili, walang "pake" sa iba.

considering traffic naman siguro nde naman siguro to the point na total wreck yung mga sasakyan pag binangga ka intentionally. Ngayon personally i think continuous blowing of horn will be enough for a situation such as this. You would be surpirse kung ilan pa den ang tutulong sayo when the time comes. If ever, binangga ako para i-catch yung attention ko, he better pay for all the damages and better lend me a car to use while my car is being fixed. Yun lang conditions ko. Otherwise, mag busina na lang sha. Lolz.

.. i'm actually not surprised that the initial reaction of people is to think that the reaction of bumping cars during a carjacking is to save the car .. i don't know how many carjacking victims are there who actually responded .. or perhaps it's just me .. but when i was being carjacked .. my first thought was .. i'm going to die ..

how about this scenario .. given the current situation .. you're in traffic .. you get rearended .. (i doubt how much damage it can do since you were in traffic) .. you go out .. you check the car who bumped you .. you have this guy apologizing at you and thanking you all at the same time .. you find out that his life was being threatened .. and this action of bumping your car .. and for this person .. it felt like it saved his life .. would your reaction be .. "pare, f* you .. tinamaan mo auto ko" .. or .. "pare, buti ligtas ka" ..

i wonder kung ano reaction nung nabangga ng kaibigan ng unang poster ..

hmm.. why not try the panic button of your alarm fob? personally, i doubt if i'll have the presence of mind to do this pero why not try this? mas marami pang makakapansin. plus, wouldn't it be weird kung bakit biglang nag alarm ang kotse na nasa traffic (vs yung mga kotseng alarm ng alarm sa parking)? baka mas maka-attract ng attention ng mas maraming tao ang paraan na ito.

now (for the purposes of conversation) how about kung habang pinapasok ng mga carjackers ang kotse mo e isigaw ng mga carjackers sa mga bystanders na drug dealer ka? ("DRUG DEALER TO! DRUG DEALER TO! TABI KAYO! DRUG DEALER TO!!!") instantly, they have established na masamang tao ka and chances are that the bystanders wouldn't lift a finger to defend helpless old you. lalo na if the perpetrators have guns drawn. i guess pag ganito, dasal na lang talaga ata ang katapat e.

.. i met this guy who was also a victim of a carjacking incident .. what happened was someting similar .. it was inside a village .. (i think BF Pque) .. nung hinarang siya ng mga carjackers driving an FX .. binangga niya pader ng isang bahay .. because of the noise may mga lumabas mga may bahay .. sinagaw ng mga carjackers .. "mga pulis kami, carnapper ito" .. eh nagkataon may mga nakakilala doon sa guy dahil sa liga ng basketball .. pinagbabato yung mga carjacker hanggang tumakas sila ..
