in a running gun battle and with civilians into the scene, never fire your service firearm unless you're fired upon . if a suspect, surrenders without any deadly weapon on hand, debilitate him by shooting on extremities which is less fatal.

never fire your weapon first as what the books says, but in real gun battle, all becomes irrational especially when a comrade becomes a casualty, emotions overwhelm rational thinking and from there everyone becomes trigger happy... mas ok na nga na makapatay ka kesa ikaw ang mapatay..
    sad but true...

civilians were at the wrong place and time...

God bless the souls of the victims.

-for the victims, lets pray for the eternal repose of their souls; may they rest in peace...
    - for the police, may they learn from this na talaga...
    - hoping ang praying shall not happen agen!

bute nalang mas maraming napatay na criminals.

IMO iba pag nasa actual situation kana so hindi maiwasan na magkamali ka unlike sa training.

RIP sa mga civies na nadamay.

Hmm. Kung naka-police uniform din yung criminals, paano na-distinguish ng mga tao between criminals and police?

    RIP to the civilians.

Go to Hell to the criminals.

One dead innocent civilian against one dead criminal in an engagement isn't considered as a win. Specially if it were the people from law enforcement were the ones who dealt the fatal shot.

Prayers out to everyone even the criminals. The civilians, wrong place, wrong time. The criminals, wrong decision costing their lives.

they should have allowed the robbers to get away instead of killing civilians, and then fight another day. yun mga robbers property lang ang ninanakaw nila or nawawala. pero dito buhay ng mga inosenteng tao ang nawala. ok given that the robbers can turn into homicide, pero there's still probability na hindi 100% mangyari yun. pero yun nangyari sa mag-ama talagang hindi makaka-survive yun.

it's very obvious na pinaulanan nila ng bala yun van ng mag-ama just bec. it looked like the van that they are chasing. siguro naman in so many police trainings/seminars, makaka-encounter sila ng identical looking cars in car chases. dapat ready sila dito. hindi naman siguro pag namataan at hinabol nila sa Bin laden dito sa'tin, babarilin nila lahat ng Indian na nakamotor at nag 5'6 along the way
