Bago ka lang mag drive? Bukod sa mangangalay ka, susunugin mo clutch mo. Make an effort na wag yan tatapakan pag d kailangan. Practice ka sa non-populated area kung bago ka pa lang. Un transmission ang practising mo w/o worrying on stearing.

yup relatively newbie driver here, pero definitely working on my clutch driving sickness hehehe i can say i've learned a lot from this forum and this thread mismo. I'm improving on a daily basis dun sa pag bitaw ng clutch, even though may times nahuhuli ko sarili ko nakatapak i also noticed an improvement in my FC. Thanks guys!

and before i enter the car, i remove my wallet from my back pocket and put it on the center console. Same as with my cellphone. after putting these two at the center console, seatbelts muna bago start ng oto.

Me also. I see to it na tanggalin ko muna yung cellphone ko from my pocket, bago ko i-start yung kotse. Once kasi while driving, at nasa pocket ko yung cp ko, may tumawag. Habang kinukuha ko yung phone, nawala ang concentration ko sa road. Muntik na ako madisgrasya.....whew!

At sa akin, pag pa-atras ako, automatic yung pag-on ko ng hazard lights, lalo na kung palabas ako sa isang parking slot.

And, bago ako umusad.....sign of the cross. Nakasanayan ko na.

1. clean the car in & out
2. clean engine bay and check water, oil, atf, brake fluid, power steering oil.
3. check tire pressure.
4. shower na & bihis
5. start engine to warm up
6. turn on aircon blower with compressor "off".
6. check & align sight for all mirrors
7. set radio station/ cd and desired volume.
8. press central lock.
9. go na after all the above.
10. turn on compressor once temp needle is elevated.
11. start bad mouthing stupid drivers on the road!!! hahaha...

Tama lang iyan... i.e., kung nakikipag-libing ka. Hehehe...

Kung walang sagabal sa harapan mo, when shifting up, you never stay pressed on the clutch. You need to release it fully. Baka masunog ang clutch mo.

babagsak ka talaga. kasi you are pressing still on your clutch.

dapat pag stop ka release to N, then engage only on 1 when you are ready to move.

and another thing... uubusin mo prematurely ang clutch lining mo pag di mo binago yan, plus tatakaw ka sa FC

the correct way is only up to # 3

do the #4 if you want to burn-out your clutch!

1. "slowly" release gas
2. press clutch
3. change gear
4. "slowly" release clutch
5. press gas


but never never stay on the clutch

thanks! so after na car is moving release ko na totally yung clutch right? Yun din pagkakaintindi kaya lang mukhang di kami nagkaintindihan eh. hehe

clutch driving is bad for your wallet and car hehehe.. kung moving na yung car, DO NOT rest your feet on the clutch kasi kahit lightly pressed lang yan, slightly engaged yung clutch mo ending up in power loss which could lead to inefficiency in fuel consumption and premature clutch burn-out.

Marami pala ako kapareho ng habit when it comes to wallet and cellphones. Ang isang di ko maalis na habit ay pagtapak ng matagal sa clutch kahit naka-full stop na ako at nasa neutral na. Madalas din na kapag may sinusundan ako na mabagal na car, press ko clutch go to neutral, babad muna bago shift to lower gear. Usually from third to second. I hope this is not damaging to my car. I am trying to remove this habit. May nabasa ako na hindi dapat matagal na naka-press and clutch pedal.
Tanong ko naman kung paano technique nyo when approching humps? Do you go to neutral?

nakakatakot yung neutral ang gear habang tumatakbo. kahapon lang nagshift ako sa 1st gear pero napunta pala sa neutral... nung nagbreak and turn ako sa isang corner ay ayaw magresponse nung kotse and namatayan ng makina.

Hello po mga sir! newbie lang din po ako dito. I would like to seek for your expert opinion if I'm doing the right thing when shifting gear. I do shift up when reaching 2k to 2.5krpm and shifting down at 1k rpm. Ok lang po ba yun? Do my shifting pratice consumes me a lot of gas? Also when tail to tail traffic ok lang ba yung laging nakaapak sa clutch when at 1st gear? TIA!

Kung hindi kailangan umapak sa clutch, bitawan mo muna. Otherwise, I say you're doing the right shifting for fuel economy... Just make sure hindi mabigat ang apak (masyadong mabilis ang arangkada).
