My uncle drives like hell and everytime they purchase a new car.

March 21st, 2005 12:53 PM #13nung nakuha ko yung sa akin di rin ako naniwala sa break in e. nakalagay lang sa manual na "avoid sudden acceleration and braking. travel at varying engine speeds." so actually yung mga long drives ay masama kasi tendency is you would stay at a certain engine speed for quite some time sa highways. so far ok naman ang result ng 'non-break-in' ko. i think some manuals are more specific like toyota saying "do not go above 4500 rpm" etc. sabi nga nila, read the manual para sure.

well...sometimes it confuses me also?? kasi I have a friend who's working at one of the car manufacturing plants. sabi nila before they deliver the unit, it has been tested and driven it on the test track. So pwede na daw ihataw pag nakuha mo na yun unit mo.

I used to work with Ford's car parts manufacturing, and before an engine is intalled, break in na yan.
Kung may factory defect man yan, di lalabas. Kaya kung ako sa iyo, ihataw mo ng todo para lumabas ang factory defect kung meron man, atleast under waranty ka pa. Yung 2001 VTi ko pag bile namin binanatan ko agad, ayun wala pa 1 year nasira yung PS pump fittings. Pinalitan ng Honda free of charge.

Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
