At least it's a girly car with a big behind and enough muscle to rip your arms off...

Depends on your reason for buying an Evo.
why do you wanna buy it? for prestige, power, enjoyment,
if prestige then your better off getting a good european sedan, maybe something like a second hand E46 325i or 330i.
If its for power then the evo is a good car to start, it has loads of it and you will definitely like it. its only drawback for some is its harsh ride. but the evo is best used as a toy car for weekends fun runs and night outs. You don't have to be a race car driver to appreciate its power.
If enjoyment then it depends on what kind of enjoyment your looking for. if you enjoy driving fast and hard even if your not a race car driver then this is the car for you but if you want a car for the weekend supermarket shopping then your looking at the wrong car.
You don't need to have a race car license to enjoy this car. its your money and you have the right to buy any car that you feel is best for you. about your brother i suggest you keep the keys so that he won't be able to drive it.

Thanks. Anyway, just want to ask your opinion about having the evo to be tinted. Dami nagsasabi it's better na wala since it's a sports car, mas clean tingnan. sayang daw pag linagyan. E for me naman, i'm considering my protection since i'm a lady driver. Pls. advise. Many tnx.

If it were me, I'd still have it tinted. Gaya ng sabi mo, it's for personal protection. Huwag lang yung sobrang reflectorized, baka magmukhang jologs naman ang Evo XI mo.

if ever you'll use "Neutral Tint", it's still obvious that you're a woman driving, unless you'll use "Black", pero parang di ok.

    btw, ano color kinuha mo?

Congratulations on your purchase! It's nice to know that there is a lady who appreciates and drives an evo. Don't tint it yet. Try using your evo for a few times, if you feel ok with it then there's no need for tint. After a while of using it and you don't feel comfy with it, you can have it tinted. IMO...i wouldn't want to have it tinted hehe para clean.

Siguro for other people out there who are thinking of buying a Lancer Evo for non-racing (ie. yung mga less than 100 kph all the time) YET still want nifty creature comforts, then siguro you'd rather wait for version 10 of this vehicle.

The upcoming version 10 will have airconditioning (dual-zone auto climate control), top-end Rockford Fosgate Sound System with MP3/WMA capability, Ipod & AUX jack and of course all standard safety features (dual airbags, side airbags, curtain airbags, ABS w/EBD sport and non-sport modes, S-AWC, etc.)

Heck, the SST/DSG transmission also serves as an automatic transmission as well . So para sa mga lady drivers and teenage noob drivers, you won't have problems "operating" the vehicle. You can just shift to "D" like any automatic transmission.

So yeah, if people still want an Lancer Evo for non-racing but still want features, wait for the Evo 10. Don't buy any version lower than it.

Always put a tint for security.
unless you have a backup security vehicle tailing you and parked beside you always.
    better be sure than sorry.

Is a smoke tint ok for white evo? 'cause i think black tint's visibility is quite hard at nyt. TY.
