Para sakin kasi SiR. Daming 96-98 vti's na nagpapaconvert to SiR body. As well as putting in the SiR engine in hatch, esi's 96-00 or later civics. Eto lang naman po ang napapansin ko ah that's why I think it's overrated.

Peace po sa SiR owners and lovers. Opinion lang po.

Depends on what you mean by "over-rated". Is the SiR over-rated? Maybe... there are some people who think it's the fastest thing on Earth. But is it a good car? Definitely. The B16A is legendary for its smoothness, its ability to rev high, and its durability. It has been referred to as the "Chevy small block of the 90's"... a relatively cheap engine that makes great power and is tunable in many ways.

And the 96-00 Civics were also very good cars. Double-wishbone and multi-link suspensions were things you didn't really find on economy cars back then... and, actually, double-wishbones aren't found on economy cars anymore, period. They're very good cars, which get a bad rap for all the cheesy "modified" ones running on the streets.

I wouldn't say it is "over-rated". Over-exposed? Maybe.

Over-rated, it depends on the meaning bro, some people might take offense if their beloved automobile is cited as such. By overrated meaning overhyped, i would go for the toyota fortuner (since their marketing ploy was to over advertise and understock their dealerships, hence creating an artificial lack of supply). Peace lang po mga fort people (just my 2 cents lang)

The ZZE121 Toyota Corolla Altis. It really isn't that good to drive or ride in...it does score points for low cabin noise though.

Well, it's just that Filipinos are talking about SiR's like god-like beings. It's fast, it's this, it's that. I really would hope that Silvia's , Skyline's, MR2's etc. were distrubuted locally para naman hindi puro SiR SiR SiR. Nakakarindi kasi e.

honda civic hatchback. most hondas are...at least here,over-hyped and over-rated. exclusive daw kasi.

toyota din to some extent ganun din. porke toyota matibay(totoo naman e) pero may mga lumabas na toyota dito na lemon din at may known defects sa engineering ang modelo. isa na dyan ang fortuner :D

under-rated naman,yun mga sentras. i beleive that these cars are tough and great. but people just cant get over the stigma of the box-type sentra...the series2 was one solid machine. kundi lang luma ang mga ito bibili ako nyan.
hanap ko kasi sa kotse,tibay at comfort. hindi exclusivity at prestige hehehe
aanhin mo yun bango ng brand mo o modelo kung pinalpak ka naman sa daan o di kaya malugi ka halos sa maintenance hehehe

Totoo. magandang sasakyan nga siya pero masakit sya sa bulsa parts and all. Pero I've seen some people put money on these babies and they can beat the "O so Powerful SiR" na sagad din. No turbo's, no supercharger, no dark side mods. Pure N/A. Natawa nga kami kasi yung SiR ang sabi "Pare, supecharged ka ata e". :hysterical:

The EK4 Civic SiR does have one thing that all the cars you mentioned don't have. Presence due to sheer numbers. Kaya wala nang ibang alam ang Pinoy na mabilis

Agree ako dyan sa Fortuner, next is Pajero (sobrang overrated yung Gen2 nung araw, 1997), at third maybe is the Expedition.

Teka, pero parang mahirap sabihin na "overrated" kung di ka naging actual owner ng isang vehicle, di ba? Yung overrated siguro, mas tamang sabihin kung me vehicle ka na gustong gusto mo, kasi ang ganda ng mga nababasa mo, at naririnig na kwento tungkol sa kanya. Then after you finally bought that vehicle, you found out (for yourself) na, YES, "overrated" nga itong binili kong TSIKOT na ito.
