Hi Mga sir, question lang po mas malaki ba ang compartment ng all new everent compare sa monty? i just went sa ford q. ave kanina to check the unit kaso ambient mt lang meron sila i ask ung agent kung pwede buksan ung likod sabi hindi daw pwede kasi lowbatt na daw? sa isip isip ko whats the connection kung low batt? hindi naman power liftgate ung ambient diba? anyway so i end up looking from the window na lang, naka-up ung 3rd row seats & mejo hindi ko maaninag ung loob dahil sa glare ng ilaw sa labas ng showroom so yun hindi ko tuloy nasukatan ung likod .. nagdala pa naman ako ng measuring tape sana para sukatan..hehe.. :D

ano po bang showroom ang may display na titanium?sa ford manila ba meron?

Wow bobo sales agent. Low battery daw.

Anyways if youre in a showroom dont ask. Just enter the cabin. Just dont scratch the paint when you enter the 3rd row. If the sa stops you. Just tell him/her you will buy one but you want to feel all the seats. Dont be shy. Remember who has the millions 😈

so pwede kahit na nasa Drive ang tranny, not necessarily in Park only? kasi may dvd player naman na may usb output so madali na lang remedyuhan. otherwise need pa ng "Lockpick" which is only available in the US at $400++ sa ebay to be bale to play video while in motion.

The new everest definitely has more luggage room in the back compared to the Old Everest (with 3rd row seats used). Versus Monty, am not sure about the actual since i didn't bring any measuring tape but it seems to be the biggest among the SUVs in its range.

Isa pa advantage niya versus other SUVs is that the second and third row seats can fold flat. So madami ka pwede i-load if ever kailangan mo mag-haul ng madami.

yan pa isang dapat ko ma-confirm, luggage space. sanay ako sa starex, pwede 1 week na damit for 8 ang dalhin pag napadpad sa malayo. i remember my sta fe, napilitan pa ako bumili ng roof box. kaso nabenta ko na roof box pag benta ng sta fe, now i'll need to buy another one.

Based on what I saw in the showroom units, the 3rd row luggage area is the biggest among the PPVs in the market. It's almost as big as that of the Explorer

New monty has the worst 3rd row and worst luggage space. Its engine is the best though. Hahaha

Over all. Everest is bigger than monty. Leg room for 2 and 3 roll. I ask my wife to seat at third roll of Everest. She told me more leg room than our present monty. I try the second roll leg room. Both confirm better than monty.

The only set back was, Everest second roll can't fold up the seat like monty, that make the access to third roll kind of difficult.

Well, past a certain level, engine power isn't really the most important in an SUV.

Nobody complains about low horsepower engines in the LC80/120 and shouting underpowered ;)

Which is why I find it silly people are complaining about the 140HP engine in the MUX.

Fair enough, but I think that the people who know they will be doing this kind of activity will go ahead and skip the lower powered engines anyway... and they should probably be driving no faster than a bus at this point -- 80KPH?

Lahat naman ok eh. You cant go wrong with any of these new suvs including the mux. I mention the engine 4n15 for comparisons sake. Not the quietest in the bunch. Again comparison only.

I just have the impression that most people posting about 'underpowered' SUVs will never take these out anyway. Syempre sila lang makakaalam if they will need that kind of power.

    *norelco,

I got the Trend. Delikado ang Ford explorer nila dito as competition. Ganda na kasi ng ride and the interiors ng new Everest. Diesel pa so mas matipid compared to the gas powered Explorer.

The riding comfort is significantly better than the old boxy Everest. Pansin mo talaga agad. Hindi siya matagtag.

Bonus goodies if you get the Trend/Titanium is you can control your Entertainment System, Phone, Aircon via Steering wheel controls or Voice-command.

Siguro issue na lang dito is your budget (price) and siyempre, if there are any kinks that may crop up being a first-gen vehicle. But so far so good. Major challenge ito for the Trailblazer, Mu-X.

Question lang: Parating naka-on ba talaga ang front DRLs (daytime running lights) nito during daytime driving? Parang sa California kasi, required yata naka-on ang headlamps palagi di ba? Can't find the answer in the manual.
    thank you sir

well there are people here who will put the pedal to the metal first chance they get just to see what their new baby can do. not everyday, but definitely within the first days of ownership. and if the gashead in the next lane puts them to shame... and there's your reason why they don't like the mu-X.

Nung one day old yung Ranger ko, binyahe ko ng Batangas. Top speed na ko sa 170 tapos biglang nilagpasan lang ako ng Altis 1.6 (ZR). Siguro mga 190 takbo niya nun. Oh well. [emoji28]

Ang masasabi ko lang sa mga SUV, mabibilis nga, eh kamusta naman preno? It takes a hell lot of braking power to stop a 2-ton truck. All PPVs I've driven have poor braking compared to average sedans.

yan ang complaint ng wife ko sa bt50 ko e, lakas daw ng brakes di nya matantiya. but i think it's just the rear drums locking up, kinakalawang pag nabasa. so i'd expect the everest to have even better brakes than the ranger/bt50 twins.

Doesn't matter if it has discs at the back (there's a whole lengthy discussion on this over at the Fortuner thread). Front discs do almost all of the braking.
