Actually the Japanese SUVs are the one kept for a very long time.

You’ll see 20y/o LC80s still on the road as oppose to the 1st gen Expeditions. Even the current Explorer, theres more of them on sale than their Japanese counterpart Prado.

The Land Cruisers are always keepers. For these American trucks, most buyers opt to just keep them than resell. Many people with their old F150s just hang on to them because most Pinoys stay away from vehicles with big displacement gas engines.

FordPH should have brought just the base Lariat model (4x2) with the smaller 2.7L V6 Ecoboost engine. 325hp/540Nm of output is good enough and it could have been more affordable, maybe around 2.3M.

Below is a review of the FX4 model with the 2.7L V6 Ecoboost engine.

I'd seen some of these trucks for sale swapped with a Toyota 1KZ-TE, Mitsubishi Fuso 4D32 from the Canter truck or the Nissan TD42 and RD28 diesel engines. Others swapped with an Isuzu Elf engines.

Wow. I can feel my chest hairs growing just looking at it. Those 20s look tiny on the F150.

I bet a 2" leveling kit with 22s or 65 series tires on the stock 20s would be great.

Transmission in mine is ok so far. This is my 5th Pick-up truck. I will tell you, the Americans know how to build trucks more than the Japs do.

Not all trucks are like the F150. Not all trucks sport almost 400hp with lots of torque (600+ Nm) available at low rpms. Rated 0-60mph time is just over 6 seconds. The newer 2021 F150 Limited rated at 430hp/677Nm can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just over 5 seconds.

The usual Asian midsize pickup truck can never go toe to toe with these large trucks. Maybe a Ram 1500 or Chevy Silverado will do.

what more if you test drive the current F150 raptor / F150 limited that has the high output 3.5L ecoboost engine. (450hp/500 lbft. torque)

or if someone imports a RAM 1500 TRX here with the raptor killing hellcat engine
