I'm a gear head, a shade-tree mechanic( not very experienced though) and a performance enthusiast. I just like to see things working especially high performance stuff. Simple as that.

Of course they will ... by running over speed bumps / humps at high speed inside subdivisions ...

hehe, nanghihinayang nga ako sa mga pick-ups na todo offroad ang porma pero laging malinis. Obvious na sa city lang nagagamit.

Mas makintab pa paint nung iba sa FXT ko. The same as the Monty I saw on the road earlier - lifted suspension kits, big tires, lots of accessories pero walang kaputik-putik sa underchassis...

Baka naman bagong car wash lang, or malinis lang yung ilog na dinaanan nya nung holy week.

Dito sa amin in fairness mga 70-30 split in favor of 4x4. So kahit papano pang-offroad naman sana talaga. Kaso yun nga lang kamahal set-up hindi man lang ata nagagamit.

    Meron iilan pero bihira talaga.

Oo nga naman, baka kaka carwash lang. Seriously though, dami mga pickups at PPVs with off-road setup but rarely do owners bring them outside Metro Manila. I do know a few folks who like to trek their rides in the off-road tracks of Pampanga.

As food as the Ford Ranger Raptor may be for fast off-road tracks but if I am going to have a pickup, it has to be the Ford F150 Ecoboost. That big truck is seriously quick and a favourite among suburban folks in the US.

Tapos dahil mga pickup yan, I'm sure di rin palaging ginagamit ang bed niyan for its true purpose. Kaya nilalagyan pa ng rollbar eh and the likes.

"After Ford revealed the official pricing of the Ranger Raptor for the Thai market, Philippine enthusiasts were quick to go to their favorite currency conversion apps to try to guesstimate the price of the performance pickup.

At the 39th Bangkok International Motor Show, Ford Thailand revealed the suggested retail price for the 2018 Ford Ranger Raptor to be THB 1,699,000 and likewise opened the order books.

Coverting from THB straight to our currency would result to about PHP 2,834,000; that is if it were based on Thai local prices which include excise tax, value added tax, etc. However, it would be interesting to note that in Thailand, the Ranger Raptor is bracketed differently from common pickups, because it uses coil spring suspension for the rear axles. Instead of 12% excise tax imposed on dual cab pickups fitted with leaf springs for the rear axles, it gets slapped with a 25% excise tax similar to that of PPVs (pickup platform vehicles).

In the Philippines, there is no distinction between rear axle spring configuration for pickups. Based on the recently implemented TRAIN tax reform law, pickups are not levied any excise tax. Being made in an ASEAN member country, the Ranger Raptor also enjoys zero import duty."

Those linkages are sway bar, helps to reduce body roll during high speed cornering. H/T tire...
You actually remove sway bar during off road to give you more articulation. Traction...

Again, positive vibes lang, their money, their call. Be happy we share same passion with cars.

BTT. I already bought 2units 4x4 XLS rangers last week, for farm use. Contemplating on getting this pero sayang. 2 XLS for a price of 1 raptor. Can't afford pa, unahin muna business and kaunti ipon pa.

Thumbs up and potpot na lang pag may nakasalabong ako na raptor sa streets! Nice truck!

Check with a Ford dealer if you need to reserve a unit.
