How about papa john's pizza?? i saw an add around 2 years ago na naghahanap sila ng partners dito.. masarap ba sya? hehe
btw, wala pang KK dito sa cebu waaaa i left manila last april pa...
Masarap pa rin ang Krispy Kreme.Kung meron lang dito sa Alabang bumili na ako.![]()
dunno kung kiclick ba ung KK in the long run, but imho, $200 million is waaay too much for the franchise. kelan pa kaya nila mababawi ung investment?
3 billion pesos po annual gross ng donut industry sa pilipinas...there's still a room for new players...malaki po market nyan...
Yup gross. pero what is the net kaya? also if there already are established players will KK be able to take away market share or create a new market? question lang din. what about the fast foods. it is a big market but there are some that fall to the wayside pa rin like BK for example?
I think BK was mismanaged by the Ayalas.... and it started to tank when they removed the all you can drink softdrinks dispenser... I mean its a BK tradition... why remove it????
basically in bakery business ideal net profit is 15-20% of total gross. mas mataas cguro NP nung malalaking bakery companies kc mas efficient operation nila and they can command price. established players are dunkin, mister and go nuts... but there are so many "little" players out there. kk success will depend on their target market. (dunno kc market nila kc i haven't taste it yet... wla ako s manila..hehe!).. sa fastfood nman, imho the ayalas are the master franchise of bk here, syempre ndi nman un main business nila cguro kya di masyado nag prosper... and parang mhina marketing strategy ng bk unlike jollibee group of companies(jollibee, greenwich, chowking, delifrance, red ribbon, yonghe food of china) yearly nag eexpand..(local & overseas) very aggressive..imho lang po...
oo nga e..pano b naman ung ibang nag di dine- in sa bk e nagdadala b namn na water jug (langhya ang luffet ng pinoy).. on the other side mura lang nman ung sd frm dispenser ..sa jollibee commy sa pasig P2.50 lang per 8oz. for employees nga lang sa canteen nila. mura lang tlaga un sna di inalis basta wla magdadala ng drum...hehe!!!

point taken. was just wondering pero your basic bakery may not have the overhead expense of a behemoth like KK though? am not so sure they would also be as efficient kasi i would think mas may wastage sa KK as opposed to a smaller scale operation.
possibly the target of KK is higher end market sa pricing pa lang. now will it catch fire sa mid and upper mid market? will it create a habit or wean them away from their existing donut choices with the promise of a better donut for more?
Now with expansion of KK also comes equipment, training, location and a gamut of things. Will the return on investment be good for them is the question. Now is the parent company Max's healthy enough to support a loss for a period of time?
Hay...witness ako nito. Nakakahiyang panoorin.
Question is can the Max's group afford a fiasco? They dont seem as big kasi as corps like the Lorenzo group which just keep going for restos.
make or break ata ito ng max's group
yup noted.. on its 1st yr of operation tlagang labas pera ng kk (prepared cgurado cla dyan), lets say they put up commissary that can cater 50 or 100 stores, and on its 1st yr 10 stores lang naitayo nyan basically mataas tlaga overhead... until such time na masatisfy yung 50 stores den profit will started to come in. but bcoz their target market is upperclass i doubt they will just branch out multiple stores in every corner. for the record lang po,go nuts do nut opening day sales on its first store is P300,000, bigger than established fastfood stores.i hope kk can beat that...![]()
