my comments...
the girl probably said a lot more, but the censor probably cut them away to save on time.
at her age, that's probably "normal speaking". at our age (heh heh), yes, we do expect more maturity. but hey! the target population is probably the younger ones and not the younger once.
back in the 60s, the communication skills desired were more straightforward and simpler... i.e., speak and write good english.
as the country became "more mature", it "got confused", in my opinion. some leaders wanted to cling on to english, others wanted to be more nationalistic. the end result is what we now have on the streets... taglish. even today, we have a politically correct, but "impractical" (to me!) definition, of "national language".
btw... that "accent" there... that's still benign.
heh heh.
Adult men who:
1. don't know how to drive
2. too lazy to drive
3. only know how to drive A/T
Ang tunay na lalaki magaling at masipag mag drive. Just like my Dad
Thought about this because a former colleague hitched a ride with me. He said he was interested in my car but seeing now that it's manual, wag na. He only knows how to drive a/t pala. Haha.
