mga basketball fanatics. We are about to join a league and I'm pretty scared with one of our opponents he's 6'6" and a body like ali peek's basta huge sya as in huge. This is the first Time I'm going to have a battle (in basketball) w/ a stronger guy and masama pa dun mas malaki sya skin. My point is how do I defend this guy??? Trash talk baka magalit lng??? ksi ako dati trast talk sila skin lalo lng ako nagagalit kaya mas malakas ako maglaro. Don't think that I'm scared of him It's actually a pretty nice challenge takot lng ako mamura ng coach..Oh and one more thing he's a former San sebastian player which means he can play some ball he's not just big and strong. Please give me some tips ong how to BOMBARD this guy on the court. THNXXXX

imho. play clean. i think he will too.
psychological lang yang fear mo bro.

on the technical side of defense, just deny him the ball. use speed. once he gets the ball low, wala na yan...good as cash na yan.

ask your coach to run plays like the ones Greece did vs the US during the last WBChampionships. puro pick-and-roll plays yon and the big man of Greece (nicknamed Baby Shaq??) was very effective scoring points in the paint. when the PG or SG will find himself defended by the 6'6" guy after they switch, they they can take him to the rim hopefully resulting in either 2 pts or a foul. your coach should be able to design plays to render the opposing big man ineffective. good luck!!! :D

To defend a bigger stronger C, you need help from the other low post defender. If he's not a good passer, you can always double team him in the post whenever he touches the ball. Else, you may deny him the ball so he will find it difficult to get the ball. Since you are relatively lighter for a guy that stands 6'4 and maybe a better leaper than him, score on him with nifty one-on-one moves to the basket. His tendency is to get into foul trouble if he could not be able to keep up with your pace. But as always, you will need your team mates(guards and forwards) to deliver from the perimeter so that his strength will not be much of a factor.

If you really need to defend him one-on-one, watch how Marcus Camby or Tayshaun Prince defends with their light frame and long arms.
