after a bad break up, the thought that i did not give it away greatly helps me take back my equilibrium . i am glad that i was only into limited physical intimacy while in the relationship. the break-up was painful but i wasnt damaged in the process. i guess i can still play fairly and proudly in the field with no sordid past haunting me.

Very well said. This is the reason why I tell my girlfriend we should wait. Since we arent married yet, I wouldnt know if we will end up together even if things are going well. If we so decide that we should part ways, I tell her, that at least Im sure she doesnt have to be ashamed of not being able to give it to her future husband in case it matters to him.

Well, actually its the guy too that has to think twice about it even more. If the guy says no, there is nothing the girl can do. Our problem is that we are being conditioned to believe that guys are too weak to say "No". Girls who have wanted to do it with me have told me things like "You're weird" or "You must be sick", because I said "No". Masakit sa ego, but I made my choice.

It's great to quote someone who was known for a scandalous affair, never took care of his family, and eventually lived with a guy admirer till he died. Yes, I dont think he would value virginity much telling from his life.
