Wala naman sinabi psych pero I am surprised na I am to avoid sugar
Your doctor has already assessed the pros and cons of you taking vs not taking the meds. Of course no one can force you to take them if you really don't want to.

a psychiatrist classmate said to me,
"dr. d, the easier psych patient to manage, is the one who recognizes his condition and takes his meds."

and what is the most difficult such patient?
"the one who believes there's nothing wrong with him and refuses to take his meds."

i once experienced a panic attack.
as a doctor, i knew exactly what it was i was experiencing. i even told my companion at that instant, about it, and asked to be brought to the e-room.
but even as i knew what it was, i still could do nothing about how it affected me at that instant.

Psych meds are so expensive, umaabot P12k a month tapos I feel like a zombie. Kaya pala si True Green palang clumsy na parati nadadapa, I think it's one effect because I experience it now. I told my psychiatrist mahal mahal ng meds e he said sa malasakit center daw meron pero hindi naman daw ako qualified as indigent

I dont know what is going on , maybe the solar flare or an alien invasion, or some govt experiment.
Two nights ago my sister -in-law called my wife crying, she said she feels sad and cried for no reason. We have to call my in-laws to accompany her that night.
Then , less than 12 hours in the early morning. my wife received another call, this time from an account officer of one of her clients, the same thing, she doesn't know why she called , she's at lost and she said she feel sad and also cried over he phone. WTF!

Its just so weired 2 cases of possible depression from people we know in less than 12 hours.

it's probably because the christmas season is gearing up. statistically , cases of depression rise during the holidays.

"lucky", they decided to call someone.
at times kasi, they decide to keep it within themselves.

the most important part in the management of depression, is to recognize it.
the second most important part, is to consult a trained professional.

In my case, my depression isnt crying. It's a very heavy feeling in my heart and melancholy. I have no "gana" in everything

    Can antipsychotics cause dry eyes?
Most psychotic disorders are treated with a combination of medications and psychotherapy. A significant ocular side effect of anti-psychotic drugs is dry eyes which often do not get adequate attention thus leading to great discomfort to the patient.
Ang tindi ng dry eyes ko! I don't even know what to do anymore. Plus it causes weight gain daw! Ang daming side effect

I just had another consultation and I was prescribed LITHIUM. Wtf. It's one of my favorite songs sa Nirvana but I'm not sure I wanna take it. I was warned din na need to monitor the kidney. Am I better off bipolar than risk damaging my kidney?

the deleterious effect of lithium against the kidney, is acceptably low in majority of patients. your doctor was just informing you, in case you were in the minority.

if we pulled out of the market every drug that has a possible negative effect on some organ, even if statistically small, we would probably have no drug left in the market.
    heh heh.
