jan 2007 wedding.... hmm forgot the breakdowns. around 500 thou naubos ko siguro. advice ko lang, get a wedding planner and events coordinator kung ayaw mo sumakit ulo mo sa araw ng kasal mo. let them worry and you should enjoy your wedding day. about the budget, just spend what you can afford. yun pera kikitain mo yan pero minsan ka lang ikakasal, kaya dapat masaya ang araw na yan para sa inyo mag-asawa

Yup sa photo medyo hindi ako nagtipid.

Pero I was never a believer of having two set of album. One small and One big.

The small one is really a waste of Money. Why show a small photo when you can show a bigger one?
I chose a lighter Photo album and the one not made of Wood.

We're getting married in church on the 22nd...what I've found out so far is lumagpas na budget namen by about 25% hehe. Here are some of the expense items:
Reception - Seawind Boracay for 50 pax - P145K (wedding package with accommodations for the couple, setup of the reception venue, cake, etc, etc)
Church - Holy Rosary Parish - P10K (includes flowers)
    Photo - Nelwin Uy - P45K (http://www.nelwinuy.com)
    Video - Joel Salindong - P30K (http://jsdv.com.ph/)
Coordinator - Amanda Tirol - P60K (full coordination)
    Bride's gown, groom's & entourage attire - Rosalyn Lagdameo - P50K
    Accomodations & transfers for suppliers - P15K
Invites - Printsonalities - Gift, friend namen (http://www.printsonalities.com)
    Makeup - my wife's a makeup artist hehe (http://makeupbycher.multiply.com)
Total comes out to close to P350K (not including our buffer)

We decided to have an out-of-town wedding kasi we wanted something intimate and different, hence Boracay. We had to hire a coordinator who's based in Bora since it'll be hard to coordinate an out-of-town affair if you're in Manila. For photo, we were able to get the '06 rate since Nelwin was our original photographer for our postponed church wedding in late '06 (long story). Plus marami-rami na rin akong nai-refer sa kanya haha! For video, Joel was the brother-in-law of my wife's boss so we were able to get a really good deal.

As what mazdamazda has posted, Weddings At Work is a really good source of wedding supplier info. Marami kami natutunan dun, plus you get to read about reviews of the suppliers. Also, go to bridal fairs as they're also a good source of discounts. Use your connections as well, marami diyan nalaman lang namen through our family, relatives and friends of friends.

And one more thing, never scrimp on your photo and video, because it will be the only thing remaining after the celebration. Get the best that you can afford!

nagpakasal kami ni esmi 2006..ito breakdown ng cost ng kasal namin

video and photography: P29,000 (P45,000 true price, may promo kasi)
reception: free (sa garden ng bahay ng misis ko)
    catering: P60,000 for 70 guests
entourage dress: free ( courtesy of our ninang)
bridal car: free (courtesy of our friend)
church: free (courtesy of my father-in-law)
flowers: P8,000 if I remember it correctly

my mom gave me a wedding budget of up to P800,000 but all in all almost P120,000 lang ang nagastos namin but i just could not remember kung saan yung P20,000 napunta.....mabuti na lang at pareho kami ni misis na "kuripot" at cheap hehe....nag honeymoon kami sa Hong Kong but that is another story.....

I was surprised that my mom gave me the remainder of the unused budget and i was able to almost double the amount in 2 years via stock trading kaya happy ako

Hehehehe... kaya nagtaka ako sa una bakit 45K lang (his cheapest now is 60K). Yung package namin before (40K less 10% discount) is worth 70K na yata.

Our photographer for bigbigcar.com also does wonderful work: http://kentamayo.smugmug.com/
