    getting married this may.

shangrila edsa. ballroom. almost 23,000 per table. whew, dito talaga madugo. multiply to how many guest you are expecting. thats 10person per table. so if 500 guests x 50tables x 23,000 = butas na pocket and wallet
brides gown plus entourage and 2 moms. 95,000. medyo mura dahil kilala yung couturer
flowers and a little accents for the reception (inblooms) 90,000.
    invitations around 90pesos per.
church is mary the queen in greenhills. this is 7,500. for 1 slot.

by the way, the reception already includes rooms, the bridal car (lincoln towncar pinili ko hehehe) ice carving, flowers for the tables and the presidential table. and may mga extras pa.
the church also already has some basic flower arrangements. so if mabait magiging misis nyo, like mine. she will be ok with it. kneeling in front of her and begging for her not to order more flowers is also effective way to cut down cost. hehehe

coordinator is around 25,000 for the event day only.
MC around 15t. singers or performers, eto nag hahanap pa ako pero nag re range sa 20t.

wag kalimutan. dolfenal and kremil-s or maalox, siguro nasa p500 na ako. hehehehehe.

add ko lang. for the chinese crowd. we had a ting-hun, or engagement. this is additional cost. eto di ako naka takas. haha. you gotta show the bling bling here. pero ofcourse. kung ano lang kaya mo.

add ko nalang kung may nalimutan ako.

wedding namin this year, 350K ang inabot. eto ung rough breakdown:
    fernwood venue + chapel: 100K
    caterer package (200pax) : 160K
gowns/barongs for the whole entourage: 30K
    photo/video: 35K
    wedding cake (cupcakes):10K
    others: 15K

mejo rough lang yan. Suggest ko lang sa mga ikakasal, kung gusto nyo magtipid pero memorable, kuha kayo ng magandang venue/caterer, then tipirin nyo na lahat ng iba. A beautiful venue will make good in the pictures kahit cheap lang ang photo/video nyo. You can ask help from your friends and i'm sure that they'll be willing to help you in lieu of a wedding gift (e.g. ask your friends who can play instruments to play the music for your wedding, ask a relative to help in wedding coordination, etc).

Also, pag maganda ang venue and catering nyo, it will give an impression of elegance, thus making people give more cash gifts(lalo na ung mga ninong/ninang hehe). opinion ko lang to.

    Good luck sa mga ikakasal

Having gotten married four years ago, and having been a sometime wedding coordinator for two years, I'll say that the reverse is true: For the price, a skilled and competent photographer/videographer can make even the most dull-looking wedding venue desirable.

This isn't to say that you should go for the most expensive lensmen even if it breaks your budget, but try to find those that strike a fair balance between good output and good price. Kapag sobra-sobrang tipid ang photo/video, consequence is pangit din ang kuha sa venue, kahit Fernwood or Le Pavilion pa yan. Worse, pangit din ang shots ng guests at ng bagong kasal; you'll really get what you pay for.

Sayang din, since yung photos and videos ang titignan-tignan niyong mag-asawa for years to come.

I agree that having a good photo/video supplier is really worth it (that's why 3rd sya sa budget ko after venue/reception).. in my personal experience, i am really satisfied with my photo/video supplier (NicePrint), mura pa package nila na 35K, dami pa freebies.. well, i have no experience with other photo/video suppliers so there is nothing to compare with.. pero samin ok naman kuha ni NicePrint so sulit na rin ;)
