    hi guys!im new here and im planning to replace the engine of my 95 hyundai grace.what engine would you recommend and how much would it cost me?i just want to restore this van since it has sentimental value na rin to us.after this im going for a complete washover.

    i suggest hyundai engine din ipalit mo or 4d56 ng mitsu.

    4d56-turbo intercooler na galing sa pajero!

    straight swap yan, gawan mo nalang ng mounting ang intercooler at oil cooler.....hataw pa...mapapansin mo kung di mo ihahhataw, mas titipid pa grace mo (gaan ata ng grace than pajero,e)

    4d56 turbo?hmmm...ok yun ah..how much would it cost me naman po?surplus?exact mount po ba sya?mas magaan nga grace kesa pajero..

    4d56 turbo cost around 30 to 40 thousand pesos, yaan din kc nilagay namin sa 95 hyundai grace nmin dti kaso ang problem is ung crank case ng oil sa ilalim e magkaiba kesa sa orig na hyundai grace engine nung una kala ko maganda yung nireplace namin na engine 4d56 turbo malakas nga sya humatak and matulin talaga tumakbo,kaso nung nilalagay ng mekaniko namin ung engine with turbo e bumabangga yung crank case nya sa parang engine support na my bar sa ilalim ng van ginawan nya ng remedyo he cuts the bar and yung engine naisalpak na tapos ginawan nya ng bagong bar para sa engine support, and all of the sudden napadaan kmi sa humps pero hnd nmn ganun kataasan yung humps bglang sumayad yung crank case nung bagong engine yun pla mejo magkaiba yung size and pagkakasalpak ng crank case ng orig hyundai and yung gling sa pajero,, we lifted the van pero sumasayad pa rin sya lalo na pag mjo rough road,ilang beses na nga nabutas yung crank case nung engine kaya ilang beses na din kmi ng change oil, kaya mai suggest ko sir put a original engine of hyundai grace, ang bilhin nyo sir e yung 2.5 karamihan kc ngayon na binebenta e 2.4 lang ska much cheaper yung price ng hyundai engines 15 to 20 thousand and less problem kesa sa 4d56 with turbo.. i hope this one can help you

    Possible din yung Isuzu engines. My friends family has a Hyundai Grace and the engine was replaced to an Isuzu.

    ah ganun pala yun 4d56..so hindi sya salpak talaga as stated above...or would it be more practical if i have a trusted mechanic check my engine and just replace worn out parts??btw, if i replace my engine,kasama na ba pati fuel pump?what i mean is yun part that needs calibration?hoping to get more inputs from the gurus because im really aiming to restore this van para tumagal pa sya sa amin.i really like this van,for me its a real work horse,

    Hmm... Pwede kayang i-transplant yung crankcase nung Hyundai engine dun sa 4D56 w/ Turbo? Kukulangin kaya sa circulating oil?

    hindi sir pwede itransplant kc sir magkaiba sla ng butas nung pinagtuturnilyuhan eh try din nmin gawin yun itransplant yung galing sa hyundai engine..

    yes sir jonsiy hnd sya salpak sa pangilalim nung engine support,ska sir yung 4d56na galing sa delica wid turbo is the same galing sa pajero 4d56 turbo,, and i think sir mas maganda kung bilihan nyo nlang ng hyundai engine as i said kunin nyo is 2.5 para tlga malakas humatak, yes sir ksama na dun yung fuel pump meron nga din na ksama pti transmision eh ska sir mas mkakamura kyo kesa na ireplace nyo pa isa isa yung worn out parts mas mpapamahal pa kyo dun, atleast pag bibilhan nyo nlng ng engine less work and salpak nlang,.. sir gudluck sa pag restore ng van nyo sana mglagay kyo ng picture pag narestore na...

    E kung yung 4D56 nung local L300 Exceed LWB version (12 seater)? O kaya yung 2.5 L diesel TCI engine nung 2001 Starex?

    yup pwede rin nman yung pang l300 pero the same lang nman sla nung hyundai engine i think mejo mhal nga lang yung pang l300, halos parehas lng naman yung pyesa ng engine ng l300 and hyundai e, kaya yung iba nka l300 van pag my ireplace na pyesa pang hyundai na hnhnap nila, i think magkaiba yta ang mounting ng pang starex na engine and mejo malaki ang ibabaw nya baka bumungo sa upuan pag binababa na,..

    ok sir elbrij26.ill definitely post a picture pag fully restored na sya.together w/ the body works and interior.sir any recomendation ng shop na magaling w/ this type of van and also where to buy the engine na rin.thanks ulit sir!

    Sori ang kulit ko ha. Yung 4D56 w/ turbo nung Gen 1 Strada (1994-1999), pwede kaya?

    OT: Tamang-tama din kasi nag-uusap kami nung kaibigan ko re his 1997 L300 Versa Van. Nasira kasi yung makina niya after nag-overheat. May tagas pala yung radiator na di nila napansin kaya naubos yung tubig tapos di napansin ng Misis niya na nasa red zone na yung temp kaya tuluy-tuloy lang ang pagpapatakbo niya, ayun umusok at kumatok yung makina. Iniisip niya ngayon kung pwedeng salpakan nung 4D56 turbo ng Gen 1 Strada yung L300 niya.

    D4VX cost around 28k-29k, 4D56 run about 40k

    is it really that hard to fabricate a new crankcase so that a 4D56 engine can fit a hyundai grace? i mean philippinas to eh.. we even covert RHD to LHD...

    i agree pareho lang, dun sa 4d56 na non-turbo, yung pang l300, kasi yung L3oo fb namin dati na pang hakot lagi naooverhaul kasi overused din, hyundai parts na ginagamit na replacement parts, tapos ng na rebore na e pistons na ng hyundai ata yung sinalpak nila.. pagkakaalam ko meron lang konting parts na medyo iba kaya may mga ginawang remedyo para mapagbuo buo yung parts ng hyundai at mitsu.. at pagkakaalam ko mas malakas yung hatak ng 4d56 kesa sa hyundai pero mas maganda pa rin syempre kung buong makina na papalitan hindi na yung remedyo remedyo..

    correct me if I'm wrong sa pagkakaalam ko D4VX and 4D56 uses exactly the same modification of piston they are interchangeable so it apply that parehas lang ang engine power nila the difference is the price lang , and if you had your engine rebored it means that you oversize the piston if the piston is bigger it only follow that there be an increase in engine power, since hyundai use the platform of mitsubishi think there is no difference regarding the preference on which engine you like to use be it 4D56 or D4VX.
