^ Valve will open earlier for b179 while b1431 needs 6psid more before opening.

BPV is a failsafe feature that prevents oil deprivation during cold starts, restricted/clogged elemet, and sudden high-flow rate.

Hanapin ko yang usapan nyo about psid bypass valve.

As per dvldoc, wala tayong cold start dito sa Pilipinas, even in Baguio City, only in countries where there's winter...oil will pass through the Baldwin filter media, kahit ano pa ang BPV pressure, be it 8psid or 30psid, hindi basta-basta ma-clog ang media used by these filters, very highly efficient with high debris carrying capacity even on extended OCI.

Ibig sabihin mas ok yung b179?

Nag-email ako sa baldwin. Technical na baka may nakakaintindi dito.

To answer your question, all of our oil filters are “full flow” unless it states that it is a by-pass filter. The B1431 is not a good substitute for the B179 because the micron filtration in the B179 is 18 nominal, 40 absolute with an 8 psi by-pass. The B1431 micron filtration is 23 nominal & 45 absolute with a 14 psi by-pass. I checked both of your vehicles by application and both listed B1402 as the recommended filter; so the B1431 should be okay. However, whenever you use a different filter other than the one we recommend, if there are any problems with it, we do not guarantee it.

    Depende.

Take note the slower the flow of fluid in the filter element, the better filtration - yan din ang principle ng bypass filtration.

Na omit ko yan sa last reply ko, you have to consider the micron rating. And take note, OE filters are crap, so kung 45 absolute si Baldwin, baka 50 ang OE.
