* dvldoc and all
i dont mean to be rude or a pessimist, but this thread is getting messier, and quite frankly, to some (including me) its confusing.
This is a very helpful thread, but its frustrating to know that fleetguard and baldwin and the higher quality filters are better for my engine and i cant grab a hold of them. If its okay, maybe we can consolidate all the helpful info,. Maybe start with a list in order of the best to the worst filter according to dvldoc along with all the aftermarket filters you found locally available. Then post a cross reference of the part number of the filters you found just like what doc did. Baldwin=Vic=Fleetguard=WIX etc. Then lets make a list of the addresses and contact numbers of the shops and/or people that carry/sell them. Start with metro manila, down to the provinces. After that we can also list down the shops that sell fake/imitation baldwin/fleetguard etc. filters. So when a common forumer asks "where can i buy a high quality oil filter and what part number is for my engine"? We can just post a link of this one page where all the info is present so that the rest of the pages are reserved for discussion. I think we can help our fellow forumers more if we did that.
Its a 100+ page thread with more than 1,500 posts. Its just all very, very confusing...
Well unfortunately it just happen to turn into that kind of thread, I have already put tons and I mean tons of time into thing looking up specs for people on filters, oil, and purchasing locations, cross reference sources. Someone else is going going to have to do a cut and chop on this if they want a simplified thread.
I just don't have the time to go through the whole thing and re-post everything in separate categories. If you got a question it's just as simple as asking, or doing a forum search.
Feel free to PM , I answer them all.

Doesn't even look like the old design. Looks more like a rebaged China made Toyota filter.
Someone tell me I'm wrong, which you guys know by know is not to often.
I fear it's this one one the Left on the inside which I have already shown is one of the worst filters that's out there, second only to the VIC. But it does have a metal center tube so who knows what the heck is inside it???????? I see it also has no country of origin.
Will it still work, oh I'm sure it will, I would be very curious to see what it looks like on the inside. Probably no better or worse than a OEM filter. But probably even worse.
Also know real fleetguard has a orange anti drainback valve.
Feel free to run it, cut it open if you can after you use it. I would not keep it on any longer than 5000klm or would just get another brand.

Thanks for the overview. I'll use it on one of the cars for the standard 5,000kms then cut it open on the oil change and post the update here.![]()
Hi guys,
Saan ba makakabili ng Baldwin or Fleetguard near Manila preferably sa Marikina?
OK lang din ba ang performance ng Purolator?
Thanks
dvldoc,
had no luck finding crosses for baldwin, fleetguard and donaldson for the ff filters:
Oil filter HH164-3240
Fuel filter TC422-43012
Transmission/Hydraulic filter W9501-35000
Application is KUBOTA L3608 Tractor 3 cylinder diesel NA 1.7 li.
maybe you can help me. TIA
Going to Volmax tomorrow to get my BT223. I'm not going to hoard them. Yet.![]()
Sir Miko, ask ko lang po san po nagbebenta ng luberfiner?
Plus tumawag ako sa paleeno, who sells the Donaldson filter, sabi nung nakausap ko sa phone pang heavy equipment lang daw filters nila, is this true?
Its getting frustrating finding these quality filters. It really makes sense to use them, but whats frustrating is its availability and those authorized retailer selling the fake ones also. Wix has limited supplies, volmax has no stock, pacer im hesitant to buy from them, w&L has not yet given me feedback regarding the parts i inquired..... maybe for the meantime im gonna settle with Bosch filters.
bro, pacer has luberfiner, W&L also carries them, the downside is luberfiner cross reference to major filter part number is not that extensive... there are many engine models not yet covered... same with titan gold... its really is almost impossible to get your filters from those brands..
Called volmax yesterday. No stocks of Baldwin BD28 for now.. The person on the phone told me to call again around 3rd week of April when their stocks arrive.. Using OEM Mitsubishi for now..
No hoarding please! haha.![]()
Here is the Donaldson equivalent of the LF3614. It is made
in Indonesia. It has the same design as the filter from Pacer.
