if it has oil leak, that means it still has oil. the engine just went through a "general overhaul", all it needs is resealing because the shop that dit it messed up a simple job. what is your model year, make and model of the car, what is the engine? there are two standards as to how long a particular job takes to do. there is the factory time guide and there is industry aftermarket time guide. the difference is the factory time is shorter that they have averaged the time it took them after at least three attempts and that the components are clean and the bolts, fasteners are new and not rusted. these are the usual source of leaks: front main seal, camshaft seal, oil pump seal(where applicable), rear main seal, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket and the PCV system. there are generally two kinds of leaks: pressure leak and seepage, gravitational and capillary leaks.

I paid 19k for the overhaul kaya pinapa backjob ko siya, sayang kasi pera.. pero im having doubts of the quality of his work done.. Kaya i was aking kung mga gaano katagal kaya para maayos at magawa ang oil leaks para just in case maghapon lang mabantayan ko na lang ang work. salamat!

Dalhin mo sa gas station, ipa-raise mo ang car, ask the attending mechanic to locate the source of the leak, tapos tingnan mo yung ituturo nya para mas maintindihan mo.

Thanks for all the replies and info's, i really appreciate it.

Visit your car na lang and check the fluid on the clutch, pag me bawas dagdag nyo. kasi pag inubos nya lahat yan eh hindi mo mailalabas yung auto sa talyer nya, kahit lagyan mo ng fluid yan, kelangan pang i-bleed para walang hangin so pag ganun sya din gagawa. If you can afford the clutch assembly change it na lang, kasi if luma na yun, baka kahit palitan yung repair kit at me tama na yung cylinder you'll just go back. IMHO

got car back about 4 days ago, so far so good, no oil leaks and engine is running smooth, may konting drops of clutch fluid pa rin sa loob and ill get that checked when i can. thanks!

Question po uli please.. i changed my spark plugs and started using bosch platinum plugs, okay lang kaya na ito ang gamitin ko, usually short distances lang mga drive ko, mga 20km a day.. and okay rin kaya shell premium gamitin ko or better if petron xcs, i noticed kasi minsan nagiging rough un acceleration after ko magpuno ng shell premium, and one last po, is it okay if i just leave the breather hose hanging at di ko na ikabit sa air filter case? thank you!

Better if you use gasoline na wala pang halong ethanol like Petron Blaze (for the meantime, next year Blaze will also be mixed with E10 as mandated by law). Since its an old car with an old engine, better have a trusted carb mechanic check and if possible "upgrade" it so it will resist the ethanol content. Some rubber parts of the fuel line from the gas tank to the engine may also require replacement.

Thank you po.
