Oil Did Not Circulate - Damaged Engine!?!

I just got a call from casa! Good news because I will not pay anything and they will charge it to warranty even if my warranty expired last year! Customer service is top notch

These are the things they did:

1. Cleaned the throttle body
2. Replace valve cover gasket
3. Replace the oil something (not filter e)

They are still waiting for the parts so I told them they can keep the car with them for as long as they want basta they get to fix the issue. I hope this fixes it.

sorry i dont get it... after the casa messed up you car twice yet you still trust them to keep your car as long as they want??? what if they swap out parts (aka chap x2) without your knowledge (like expensive sensors, non identifiable/consumable parts pats such ignition coil, starter motor, etc)?

^I have been leaving my car at the casa at least overnight for PMS or warranty claims for the past 4 years. I find it more convenient to just drop off the car and then pick it up when it is convenient. It was only during the 35k PMS that they effed up my car. But I trust the casa and my service adviser. I don't know what happened but someone may have messed up my car. But the good thing is they are taking responsibility naman. I think this time babantayan na nila mabuti.

they were willing to fix it free of charge, but you did not give them the third chance. so how can you sue them and expect to win?
sometimes, you have to trust someone sometime. maybe now that they are in the spotlight,they'll "behave".
besides, saan mo dadalhin? the next garage you bring that car might prove to be a bigger alligator..

and yes... i have heard horror stories of european brand name cars with chinese parts, giving their owners headaches.

When I win the lottery I can buy a brand new Fortuner. lol. But if I get to convince my Tita to sell me her Fort (barely used, super sariwa, low mileage - I sound like a buy and seller haha) then I can sell my Gen 10 na.

I picked up my car at the casa today.

They cleaned the throttle body and replaced the valve cover gasket. There is nothing wrong with the valve cover gasket but they just wanted to make sure that no leaks will happen. I did not pay anything even if my car is 1 year out of warranty I listened to the engine and the SA said that it sounds normal na.

I don't know if I am just paranoid or I am getting to compare my gen 10 to my gen 11 but I feel like sakal yung gen 10 ko tumakbo. Also, normal ba na pag nage engage yung compressor e tataas from 800 to 1000 yung idling. I am not used to this erratic idling.

Ano nga ba yung throttle body? Sabi kasi walang sludge, nakalagay pa sa report nila. Hindi naman nanginginig, nagbabago lang idling. Weird din kasi kanina naka stop ako tapos tumaas yung idling bigla as if inapakan ko yung gas. Ayoko na rin isoli sa casa kasi sinasabi nila nothing is wrong at almost 2 weeks ko din iniwan yung auto sa kanila.

AFAIK the throttle body is the part of the intake that controls how much air goes in the engine and also responds particularly when you step on the accelerator pedal.

Pansin ko on our cars, the idling goes up when the car engine temperature is cold and when the air compressor + fan kicks in. Not sure if this is the case with your car.

I am with the casa boys in saying sludge may not be your problem in this case, since as you've said and your PMS history bears you out, you've taken care of your car's engine religiously. I haven't been as meticulous with my engine as you are, but the last time I had my engine oil cover cleaned and gasket changed, no build up whatsoever.

Cathy, yung pag taas ng rpm pag engage ng compressor ngayon lang ba nangyari? Yung ibang kotse namin tumataas ang idling.

Normal lang siya ganun nangyayari pagmanual car at bka naka tapak ka sa clutch and then sabay gas

Wala ako alam sa kotse, kasi ang alam ko electric fan ang gamit ng kotse boths a aircon and radiator, but anyhow normal tumaas ang idling kapag nagkick in ang compressor mo, but 1k RPM is way high, 850 to 900 ang normal nyan. Aabot lang ng 1k to 1.5k RPM during cold starts, as in yung di pa na warm up yung engine sa umaga, pero instantaneous rin yan.

Pwedeng salarin ay servo kung wala ka idle, pero dahil may idle up ka, chances are ok naman ang servo.

Tell them ang taas ng idle up mo, mukhang ni-adjust nila idle mo, magastos sa gas yan, ano na ba yung idle rpm mo?
