Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?

Sa amin, we use semi-synthetic shell oil (Diesel) and we change it every 4.5k-5.5k (On average 5k) whenever may budget at may oras na but usually we don't let it go as far as 6k. We maintain to change it every 5k kilometers or a few hundred more.

actually there are some that argues about it some say follow the KM and some is which ever comes first.

if its FS oil there are some brands that will last around 10k up to 15k it depends on what they are claiming.

For me kasi, since minsan lang nagagamit ung car and mostly city driving lang I follow the month based change oil pero wala din ako balak sundin like for

Fully Synth 10k-15k or 10monthe to 1 year

Ill still gonna do change my oil after 4 to 5 months since fully synth siya, it might be wasteful for others but I care for my engine so thats why

well at least you change the oil, some people (some na kakilala ko) think na basta tumatakbo, and malinis ang kotse, eh hindi na kailangan i-maintain.
tuloy, nasira ang makina. so much sludge buildup that the engine wasnt able to lubricate itself properly the cylinder walls warped, and the engine self destructed...

Hi Guys....just want to ask sana mga expert. Malapit na naman ako mag-change oil...dati gamit ko 10w40 Shell HX7 blue. Tapos nag lipat ako ng 15w50 (un-intentional yun) kasi iniwan ko lang sa trusted mekaniko ko car ko para mag-pachange oil...nilagay nya ay castrol magnatec.

Eh napansin ko parang naging sluggish auto ko at lumakas gas fuel consumption ko.
Dati kasi hindi nababa sa 3/4 ang needle ko sa Php600 one week na gamit *14KMS roundtrip travel.

Kaya parang gusto ko bumalik sa 10W40

Ano ba okay na gamitin?

1. MOTUL H-TECH 100 PLUS 10W40 API SM/CF
2. ULTRON RALLYE SAE 10W-40 API Service SM/CF

Ang auto ko pala ay 1997 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 GSR MT.

Sure ka ba magnatec nilagay? Did you see green or white bottles? White ones are castrol gtx and are mineral. The magnatec oils are very good. Ano kaya viscosity ng nilagay ng mechanic?

Pahabol na katanungan kung okay lang....oks lang naman cguro HX7 langis ko kahit XCS ang gas ko wala naman siguro problema? Habol ko kasi sa Petron yung points

Engine oils are for lubrication and is not mixed with fuel. Hehehhe

Go for any fuel. Basta palet fuel filter regularly 40k..

Most fs oils conform to different requirements. Engine oils are of diesel and gasoline varieties.

In your owners manual it will say which type of oil it requires.

Question is... is your tucson diesel or gas?

Just to be more accurate, there are motor oils that are designed for both gas or Diesel engines. These would have an API marking such as SM/CF. In simplest terms, it means that it is suitable for gas engines that require an API SM oil as well as Diesel engines that require API CF. Assumption here is that you're already using the correct viscosity.
