Vehicle engines should start having running time meters similar to that of generators.

July 5th, 2016 03:35 PM #4494I agree 100% with your thought. It is very difficult to know exactly how far a diesel vehicle can run on each oil change. I do know the rate of contamination to the oil is much higher when most distances are short and in a heavy traffic situation. (Town driving).
However on open (Country) and long distance driving I would say distance to travel would be 7500 Kms. and town driving 5000 Kms. Change the filter also in each case
