Vehicle engines should start having running time meters similar to that of generators.

I agree 100% with your thought. It is very difficult to know exactly how far a diesel vehicle can run on each oil change. I do know the rate of contamination to the oil is much higher when most distances are short and in a heavy traffic situation. (Town driving).

However on open (Country) and long distance driving I would say distance to travel would be 7500 Kms. and town driving 5000 Kms. Change the filter also in each case

    I hope this helps.

i think the odometer can be a good estimate of that.
i mean, just how much of that running time is spent on idling?

For some vehicles, a lot of time is spent idling. Like those that are stuck in traffic a lot, e.g., picking up at school. Imagine a vehicle driven for 2 hours running at 2 hours compared to one that waits in school idling for 2 hours.

Pwede rin dashcam as a source of info for engine's running time as it records engine starts and stops.

Its a big brand of oil in asia and russia. Much like total & shell.

It meets most requirements. Choose whichever your vehicle requires.

Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?
