+++++++++++++
cvt, sa ngayon ok na ulit yung vanette ko. it's been two weeks now of observation and verification...confirmed ko na rin yung culprit. i got different case of trouble. nasa ignition system yung problema and it was induced by mechanical failure of distributor. yung unstable movement ng tachometer is caused by worn out breaker plate bearing, kaya pabagobago ang idle speed and until mamatay na sya sometimes on idling..then yung biglang namamatay while cruising is dahil sa offset pala yung alignment ng rotor sa distributor cap contacts. yung misalignment ay dahil sa nagpalit ako ng arm ng vacuum advancer dati pa..mga 3 year ago na because nasira na yung una pa..leaky na yung canister..ibang vacuum canister yung pinalit ko kaya pinahinangan ko lang ng ibang arm..medyo napahaba kya na-offset yung rotation ng breaker plate. since na bago yung rotor and cap before, nakakatalon pa yung high voltage between contacts and nung mapudpod na, lumaki na yung gap..this now resulted to misfiring and stalling...when i repaired the old distributor, i got good response so last saturday bumili na ako ng surplus sa banawe...so ngayon stable na ulit yung van. sa ngayon xcs gamit ko na fuel...E10 is bad for local parts..yung pickup screen nung bago kong fuel pump e na-deformed at natanggal sa pump dahil lumuwag..buti binunot ko ulit yung pump for checking kya nakita ko..ikinabit ko ulit yung lumang original..anyway mga vanette owners, salamat sa mga inputs and tips about troubleshooting, great help satin lahat to.. safe driving to all.

Dear Sir:
That was a long saga of diagnosis and repair.
That is the only way to learn however.
Just a little advice:
In and internal combustion engine, you need 2 things to make it run -
1) Spark - electricity - the next time tumirik ka, take off one of the spark plug wires and place it NEAR a body ground - then have someone crank the engine - no spark or weak spark and you won't run at all.
2) Fuel - no gas going in, no run no start. Bring along a small bottle of lacquer thinner, next time tumirik ka, take off the air filter and pour a small capfull of thinner down the inlet manifold throat - if it runs then you have a fuel problem.
These small tests will give you clues as how to proceed.
Sincerely,
Dusky Lim

June 7th, 2010 07:06 AM #33Good am.
Ung 96 mitsu lancer ko ayaw magstart pag malamig. redondo lang. after the distributor was removed or reset, nagsta-start. pero ganun pa rin ayaw mag-start pag malamig. Palit distributor ok na.
Also have a prob with my toyota corolla 98 recently. Pag nag-menor from high gear biglang merong "klug-klug" sound tapos patay makina. Mag-start lang uli after 15 minutes. D siya patay pag low gear lang. Carburetor repair kit done, ignition coil replaced, ayaw pa rin po. Help please! Thanks.

June 24th, 2010 03:00 PM #35Update on my Intermittent Problem: (vanet gas engine Still Stalling)
Found out last weekend na gasoline problem, after 30minutes of driving namamatay na siya and will start after 3-5 minutes. Check the tension wire and may karga naman ng kuryente upon checkin.
Already replaced the following accordingly:
-Fuel pump
-Fuel Filter
-Ignition Coil
-Distributor Cap
-Tension Wires
-Cleaned the carburetor
-removed strainer going to carb
-Newly tunedup and adjusted the contactpt/condenser
Parang nawawala bigla ang gasolina and sudden stall will happen.
What else to check other than this:?
-Fuel lines
-Fuel pump relay
-rotor distributor
may kinalaman din kaya itong mga ito?
what could be the EXACT problem. Suggest pa kayo, nakakaiyak na ito.

Dear Sir:
No-one can seriously give you an EXACT answer to your problem unless they actually see and test the vehicle.
Basically I can say this:
if the engine dies slowly, it is more likely than not to be a fuel-related problem.
if the engine dies quickly, it is most likely an electrical or ignition-related problem.
Sincerely,
Dusky Lim

June 25th, 2010 05:53 PM #37sad to here bro..pero maayus yan..don't loose hope. naalala ko dati yung sakin ganyan din.
para malaman mo kung nawawala yung gas mo sa carb, pagnamatay, silipin mo agad sa small window glass ng carb (dapat half ng window meron). pwede mo munang i-bypass yung fuel pump relay...place a jumper on pin 1&2 of female plug facing you.. sa distirbutor naman, pwedeng may kinalaman kung pareho tayo ng cause tulad ng post ko sa query mo.

July 8th, 2010 06:59 PM #38BUMP! Dinala ko sa JM tapat ng Uniwide. Hinusgahan agad ang Ignition Coil. I told them bago yun, and they still insisted. Yung Nagtitinda saka yung mekaniko. They offered me refund so pumayag ako. Ayun i just refunded the Cost of ignition Coil since same stalling problem. Tomorrow i might bring it sa suking mekaniko. But still having second thoughts gusto kasi niya i overhaul ang Carb ko, should i go or not? Have not check the Fuel Lines pauna ko muna ito. Pano ba ang proper checking non? Mine kasi from pump is hose tapos may aluminum tube then hose again to carb. thanks sa mga sumusubaybay and replies niyo

Just had my Carb overhauled - Gumaan ang pedal ng gasolina, gumanda hatak
Checked the Fuel Lines - OK naman
Bagong tune up ulit - Dry naman spark plugs
Under Observation pa, sana okey na siya... Sobrang dumi daw ng carb ko
Next in line to check distro assy. pag nagstall pa.
