Well, I am considering at least getting a pre-lube system. Might be too much for street work, but I do want to keep the car a long time.
Oh, yes, masyado akong OA... I used to wear a mask while commuting, until I realized it wasn't actually filtering out the pollution on Taft that had given me a chronic cough in College.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Ito sabi sa manual ko:
Normal starting procedure
Engine should be warmed up by driving,
not in idle. For warming up, drive with
smoothly turning engine until engine cool-
ant temperature is within the normal range.
Notice on three-way catalytic converter
So not allow the engine to run at
first idle speed for more than 10
minutes or at normal idle speed for
more than 20 minutes.

September 27th, 2006 08:13 PM #23Dami ko kasalanan dito... one time brownout, sa loob kami ng sasakyan nagpalamig... for more than 30mins! Tapos, usually kapag mainit palalamigin ko muna sasakyan bago sumakay mag-ina ko, so naka-idle ako for more than 5mins tapos ON pa ang aircon.

BTTT:
Idling isn't necessarily bad. It just doesn't have much benefit...

September 28th, 2006 12:18 AM #30That what I do, start the truck, change the CD or Radio station, then drive slowly (residential) for about mile. Idling for longer that 15 seconds is just a waste of fuel. I even turn off my truck when I get stuck in the railroad crossing.
